This Bee is not very confident
So... after Saturday's defeat further dented Barnet's dwindling play off hopes, Tuesday sees the bees hit the road to take on a club whose league form belies the chaos going on behind the scenes.
It has to be said that Morecambe on a tuesday night is not on the face of it, the most appetising of fixtures. The run down seaside town is at its best during the day so you can get your photo taken with the Eric Morecambe statue. Now there was a comedy double act who knew how to entertain their audience.
Morecambe away is rendered even less appealing by our hideous recent form with too many players either off the boil, or played out of position or in the case of Akinde, starved of decent service.
It is unlikely that this will have changed by Tuesday so I think the best thing we can hope for is that our shonky defence can somehow batten down the hatches, and we escape with a draw.
In terms of team, none of our wingers has looked particularly great recently and I think it is time to go for a team which reflects our unbalanced squad with 4 centre backs 2 left backs and no right back, one defensive midfielder, one striker and a plethora of attacking midfielders. I would go:-
-------------------Stephens (please god be fit)---------------
----------Clough---------Santos---------Dembele-------------
--Vilhete------------------------------------------Johnson-----
-----------------Champion------Weston-----Bover------------
----------------------Akinde------Amaluzor--------------------
Subs: KML, Nelson, JCR, Mason-Clark, H. Taylor, Tutonda, Coulson
I am doing this one by Percy bus, leaving Barnet at 10am getting back god knows when. Despite the upsetting performance on Saturday a good day out beckons if nothing else. Drink2:
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think
