O/T Mobile advice...please !!!!

Postby Christies Child » Wed Feb 15, 2017 5:15 pm

BT have offered me a Samsung Galaxy J3 with 500 mb of 4G data plus 400 minutes and unlimited text for £12 a month.

I've currently got a Sony Xperia with Vodafone PYG paying £10 a month for their bundle but have been thinking about changing to Mobile BT as part of my BT Broadband and TV package.

Any thoughts about the Samsung would be welcome.....Ta :!: :!: :!:

Neil,

A few points:

1. Samsung - had one a few years ago, no complaints, just as long as it's not one of those new dodgy battery ones;
2. BT - After previous Customer Disservice experience, wouldn't get anything from them;
3. I've found Vodafone gives better coverage in St Orth and around the Lake District, although admittedly jack sh!t in the middle of Milnthorpe.

Only personal opinions of course, and others may say different.

Cheers Phil...

I certainly have problems getting a signal at The Globe (using their connection) on my Sony, whilst those around me seem to have no problem..... :cry: :cry: :cry:

Milnthorpe is a nightmare for other users as well.

I'm with Vodafone and don't have any issues with getting a signal at the Globe, I'm on a Nokia Lumia, don't know if that makes any difference.

Vodafone are supposedly upgrading the masts in the Morecambe/Heysham area in the next few weeks.

I bought a Galaxy J3 two weeks ago from the EE shop in Kendal on a similar deal (SIM only) to replace my ageing Orange Monte Carlo. Seems OK for on line connection but haven't used it much yet for calls as I'm still waiting for my old number and remaining credit to transfer. Seems to be taking longer than I was led to believe. Phone is very lightweight so have ordered a gel cover from Amazon.

Mate, you need to give EE a call about this.

My son bought a new handset from EE and advised them about needing to keep his same number etc and they took all the details in the shop and "phoned it through to their provider to register and organise."

However, days later and nothing had happened so we phoned EE direct on 150 and they had no record of it at all. They took the details over the phone and it was sorted.

On the matter of Samsung batteries, don't get me started. My new work phone is a Samsung S5 and the battery life is absolutely dobbins. :evil:

Give me my own personal iphone anyday which I swear by. Can't go wrong.

Samsung phones are fine, only 1 with a serious battery problem and they recalled all of them and closed down production.

Leave BT, just leave BT.
