A drop in the ocean to them....unfortunately the fans are stuck with Karl Oyston until Owen Oyston drops off his perch, then Cala might buy them

A good chance we could end up with a new owner who could run us into the ground so we would need help and support from the footballing community don't you think?

Nobody is asking you to apologise. Yes it is, as you feel the need to point out, a free country. There isn't any reason for you to feel intimidated. To me it seemed like a fairly polite request from their supporters.

I guess it all comes down to where your priorities and principals are really. Personally I don't like what is happening to their club so I'll support the stance. You, on the other hand, may feel that it's more important to eat a pie. That's fine too. As you say, it's a free country and your decision is respected.

I really wouldn't bother with the pie, see my previous post in this thread.

We're spoilt at the Globe. I tried one down at Doncaster and was very disappointed. Pukka it was not.

The Blackpool fans understand much better than us what the Oystons are doing and have done to their club. They've asked for a bit of support in their campaign and happy to give them some backing and show solidarity. Like many I'll go to the game to support the team but I won't buy a thing in the ground.

They will be in a slightly happier mood this week as The Blackpool owners have lost between one and two million quid after losing a court case to their other majority shareholder Mr Belokon! The first of many cases he is bringing against them.
Don't worry be happy!

Whilst the Oysons don't sound like the best owners to have, our recent experience puts a lot of what's going on there into perspective. Boycotting until the club runs itself into the ground is a risky move for me as there might not be much worth rescuing once it eventually hits the buffers.

Agree fully with that, despite the incorrigible activities of the owners, the ST locking arms in a death spiral race with the ownerships seeming incompetence, to bring the club to its knees looks like a somewhat flawed strategy to me, although if that's the chosen path I wish them well.

The blackpool ST aims and objectives are built around the ultimate aim of the trust taking a majority ownership stake in the club, is the systematic destruction of club value the price to be paid?, and a price worth paying on the road to that objective?

It will be interesting to see how the "charter" or whatever is planned for MFC ST in terms of objective setting develops. The pragmatic approach taken by FCOM during the "troubles" has ultimately been to represent members in supporting & sustaining the structures that keep the club a viable proposition, that's something to be valued and one would hope maintained as FCOM transitions to a more formalized structure.

There's no shortage of places to eat and drink outside the ground so its not really a issue, no half time pint but I'm sure we can squeeze an extra one in before the game ;)

I was thinking if we got taken over by an owner who was trying to run the club down and we didn't agree what was going would we boycott like the Blackpool fans have done.

Whenever boycotts get mentioned on here people generally don't tend to agree with them and say we should support the club/players no matter what.

Next year there is every chance we could end up with an owner we don't like and someone who is hear for the wrong reasons, what would we do then.

I was just wondering what the general feeling is to the Blackpool stance.

I wonder if he would like to re-invest some of that cash on a local league team and set up as rivals? 8-)

He failed the fit and proper test due to a conviction in another country which he is disputing.

Blackpool FC and Bloomfield RD both put up for sale by the Oyston's. What a result for those fans who have battled for so long, hope they get an owner they deserve.
