I still feel that we should play it ;) more on the deck but, yes, conditions dictated that we couldn't play it on the deck but not pretty to watch for me.......others will disagree... :!: :!: :!:

It was and is all about the 3 points which practically ensures another football league season, but which league.... :?: :!: ;)

What planet are you on? You are another of the regular posters that I try not to read but this post is barmy! I think you should join Hodgies post and pay £20 every time you post on here.

OK - I'll bite, whilst yes there was a hint of positivity in your message Neil the most hard hitting bit was questioning our tactics and the need to play it on the deck more. Everyone has a right to their opinion, perhaps if you articulated particular examples you'd have a more credible argument? However - without that - it just seems like an unnecessarily negative remark after an unbelievable result and performance IMO. I would hate to think about the very slim chance you post comments to get a rise.

We just battered a very strong league 2 side with two offsides goals, hit the woodwork twice and calved out multiple chances, whilst Barry was largely unused. What more could you expect from a performance? I think Jim's played a blinder by keeping it relatively tight & compact at the back whilst causing their defence havoc with 2 up font (Kev, Mullins) and Evans behind. The lads upfront played it on the ground plenty - see the highlights.

We've had 5 games in 15 days with 3 wins and a draw (on one of the worst pitches in league football) with a very small squad compared to our peers and also have not been able to guarantee wages to players on time. You could argue Liverpool's results have dived since the start of the year from fixture congestion, intensive training and they have a considerably bigger squad and wage bill than us. It show's incredible planning and strategy that we can get a team out to compete with such a thin squad, yet alone win. Our tactics & to an extent formation will be dictated by who he has fit enough in a set position and not overexerting players resulting in injuries we can ill afford.

I reckon all being said, that was a miracle of a result & performance, yesterday? £5 for every cloud you can find in the silver lining?

I actually saw CC's face when we scored , and in my opinion, he looked genuinely gutted for a few seconds, then feigned celebration, this was also noted by a member of the media stood next to me , CC, your dislike of the teams management skills was a major issue until the off pitch stuff surfaced, then you seemingly repented, lets not have a wobble eh?

If the team play as well in the rest of the home matches as they did yesterday I will be very happy.

I got sick of seeing teams like Doncaster and Carlisle coming and turning us over.

I thought we would really miss Barkhuizen and Stockton and yet we haven't.

As we are increasingly getting used to your posts....utter and complete bollocks.

Obviously you missed who was one of the first to get off my their seat and applaud all our heroes when they were subbed.

You are just creating s**t.....but what's new......

Funny how you feel you saw me slow to react to our superb training ground goal.....begs the question if you actually saw the goal or have you double vision as well as a passage to hear from JB......

Getting back on topic...

I thought we played a good mix of balls yesterday, many of which were long and rather route one, but they worked!

With Grimsby having to chase the game and commit men forward, our direct balls on the counter to Kev and Mullers caused problems every time and forced their backpeddling defence to concede numerous throw ins and corners in attacking positions for us.

Tactically, I thought we handled the game superbly.
