2for1 for the next two home games?

2for1 for the next two home games?

Postby BerlinWaller » Wed Mar 01, 2017 9:24 am

According to the Lollipop man outside Westgate School(a new informant), the club are offering 2 games for the price of 1 for the next two home games. Anyone else heard this or is he telling me fibs?

I read something on Facebook that it's been advertised in the paper version of The Visitor.

Yes , in the Visitor page 59 under the photo of Michael Rose.

"March Madness" and it is 2 matches (Yeovil and Newport) for the price of one. They have to be booked before 13.00 hours on the day of the Yeovil match.

It seems that people are reading SV and actually implementing some of the suggestions :o :o

They are also advertising some good deals on hospitality such as Curried Chicken for the Newport match.

I hope ST holders don't lobby for some form of compensation this time! It is nice to see the club trying to get people through the turnstiles and fair play to my new informant!

Exactly - that seems to have been a sticking point as to why there havn't been too many deals on offer.

ST holders already do OK, with the shop discounts, free player, etc.

Offers should be aimed at getting more punters into the Globe to create a better atmosphere and buy food/drink etc. That's to the benefit of everyone, so ST holders should enjoy a better atmosphere and more importantly it increases the chances of there being a club next year for the ST holders to enjoy!

Not sure what effect this will have on the gates but certainly a minor one on finances.

However if anyone deserves some recognition for their efforts it's those who went to Portsmouth and got home just in time for breakfast and then get ready for a days work.

Mind you not sure I'd want Gary to do any paintwork today.....

As a season ticket holder, as long as the deals don't get so generous that it's better than getting a season ticket I've no objection. The more the merrier, especially if long term it helps the finances.

Doesn't a season ticket holder get 9 free games on the early bird?

So a couple of free games a season without the need of giving us a free drink is not really a problem.

The Visitor page 59 just under Michael Rose's photo is the only place I have seen it. And yet in the Visitor on 2 separate pages there are adverts for the 4 matches in March and yet no mention on them about the 2 for 1 offer.

Is everybody not reading this offer wrong? It isn't 2 games for 1 price. It says 2 for 1 tickets on both games.

Doesn't that mean buy 2 tickets get 1 free for each game i.e., bring a friend for free?
