Bad day at the office. Murphy looked poor again as did most of the team. Move on and win on Tuesday

Murphy was appalling. Fleming should have been in the team ahead of him.

Last 2 games without Rose have been 3-1 defeats.

Tough game now on Tuesday against a Newport team that won at Crewe.

Number of games of late and lack of numbers in the squad finally caught up with us today.

This was always going to happen but no complaints about the performance, simply not at the races today.

Move on to Tuesday v Newport who won today.

Disappointing performance overall with some awful passing/distribution at times. Once they went 3-1 up we went to pieces in a manner similar to the run of defeats earlier in the season.

Too many players not at the races, in particular Murphy who didn't even look interested and the lack of effort at times was infuriating. As has been said, it will be a much welcome return for Rose on Tuesday who we have badly missed.

Another strange game where we played well in patches but on balance our performance didn't really warrant any points.

The first goal was well taken but the others were a result of schoolboy defending and there were numerous occasions where Yeovil got in and we were let off by their poor finishing. I didn't like the way that Yeovil were causing us serious problems by simply having pot shots from 40 yards out which Barry was spilling straight into danger.

Yeovil were physical and clearly wanted to win the game, fair play to them. Mullin worked hard but received little protection from the referee and was marshalled by their back line. Evans struggled with the physicality of the game but provided a spark and deserved his man of the match. Moly had a good game apart from some sloppy passing towards the end. Murphy was very poor and must be dropped for the next game. We really miss Rose.

How we have missed Rose in midfield. At times today our mid-field was non-existent. Murphy looks like he has had one serious injury too many. His contributions are generally below par.

Murphy unfortunately is not at his best, but we are short handed, fleming would have been better, I think the first half performance by Moly was outstanding, and then he was totally out of sorts in the second, tneir number 28 was awesome , what an engine.

Very close game until they went 2-1 ahead and we threw the towel in. Just like at Blackpool we were a bit light in midfield. Obviously Rose is a massive loss but I don't think we have accommodated for his absence in our last two matches. Today Evans played 'in the hole', a position usually occupied by Wildig, but rather than dropping Wildig he was used in a more defensive role. This didn't play to Wildig's strengths which put a lot of pressure on Murphy as the only ball winning midfielder in the team. Murphy had a shocker like he did last week, he isn't doing much ball winning at the moment. Roche looked his age today, very slow to react, most notably to a speculative effort from 35 yards which he didn't get anywhere near thankfully hit the post.

Looking ahead to Newport we need to address our midfield issues. Rose is back but is it as simple as swapping him with Murphy? I'd like to see Fleming partner Rose to strengthen the midfield with Evans in the creative number ten role. I'm not sure why Turner doesn't get more game time as he always impresses, so he could come in for Kev who could do with a rest.

Changing one current passenger for another long standing passenger isn't likely to happen.....but we can live in hope.

I thought the first half was ok all though I was thinking it had 0v0 written all over it. I thought the first half hour lacked pace prob cos of the heavy pitch was very stop start but we did have enough possession and coming down the left we kept plugging away.

Second half defensively we fell apart. It could have been six cos after the third they missed some sitters.

Certainly one to watch going higher but why do we hold off so often against players who run at us with the ball. Today we had our own wing diamond in Molly but they sussed him out in the second 45 whilst we didn't do the same with their guy and he created all sorts of problems. I've lost count of the number of goals against resulting from an opposition playerrunning at us.

I was quite impressed with Yeovil. Big and strong with some pace out wide. They beat us in every department and sometimes you have to hold your hands up.

Going in to Tuesday, I hope Jim puts some pacey players on the pitch. We had too many slow players in the side today and it makes us so easy to play against.

Moly impressed again and Evans showed some lovely touches and at times looked 2 or 3 steps ahead of any of his team mates. I struggle to see what Murphy offers and agree that Wildig was out of sorts in a deeper role. Kev is in a steep decline.

Looks like weve had our little run now. More or less everyone knackered and jaded. Murphy and Jennings were poop imo. Baz made some great saves to stop them scoring 7 if they had their shooting boots on. At the other end Mullers could have won it on his own
Exciting end to end stuff, which all went wrong after we scored... totally out played, outfought, outmuscled and went to sh!t in the end.

Well done to them ...Newport will love our pitch, thank goodness its free..

Come back Rosey

I think you're being a bit harsh on Jennings.

Maybe its because he was so good when he first arrived, maybe he sent my expectation levels too high?
Interestingly, you dont question my thoughts on Murphy ;)

Murphy would have probably preferred less game time coming back so soon after his last injury .

Agreed, he certainly had a better game than Jack Dunn. Twiss played well though.
