We have become quite accustomed in this fixture over the last decade to coming second best in terms of effort against a Coleman side but tonight it was clear that we came second best on tactics and quality, rather than desire to win.
While it is obvious Jim needs to rotate the squad with so many games in a short space of time, it was quite clearly wrong tonight. If our tactic is going to be hoofing the ball up to a target man, then don't let that man be Rhys Turner who is as weak as a fart in a whirlwind and up against two big centre backs who are good in the air (one we can't not know about). We only starting contributing to the game when Mullin came on who actually offers some strength and can bring others into play.
On balance we didn't deserve anything tonight and can have no complaints. Accrington were much the better passing side and we only really shaded the last 20 minutes or so which is far too late. That is 5 defeats on the bounce now and only Leyton Orient have lost more home games this season. February is well and truly over and we are back to realising why a lot of people are staying away from the Globe.
