Wages

Aye. We're not disagreeing.

I mean "investment" in terms of what the club receives. It's a "loss" or "gift" as far as the investor is concerned...unless they want it back at some time, in which case it's a loan.

Just making the point that most clubs will run at an operating loss at our level if they don't have big crowds, or a windfall of some sort.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Or maybe not. The only one with an offshore bank account that has been working is Abdul. Yet for some reason, despite knowing when the payments were due, couldn't get the money here in time.

I'm feeling deeply pessimistic. We're in the crunch time when those out of contract at the end of the season can talk to other clubs and Jim will be looking to find new ones to come in. Yet no wages paid again, poor results and no one knows who out of at least three parties owns the club, with court battles still going on. We're hanging on the edge of the cliff by our finger nails.

An investor might be quite happy in L2 to blow a few quid while having a jolly old time doing it and maybe a trip to Goodison in the cup or be challenging in the play offs , but to prop it all up by what has turned out to be about £15,000 a week for years without any great brucie bonus must be frustrating to say the least.

Still don't know how 'they' continued to ignore the situation of our home support in the 'Omega' ( waits for new name) stand.

Has anyone else heard a whisper that once ownership is determined in Burnard's favour, a consortium is lined up to buy the club?

I heard something like that and mentioned it on here but the unofficial BoD's spokesman said it was not the case.

Only what's been posted on here...and for me the perfect solution provided that it's a local based consortium who have an empathy with our great club.

Needs to be sorted as a matter of urgency so that Jim and Co can put together a squad capable than just more than survival.
