What do fellow Morecambe fans think of this idea?

when we play Bradford, give them the North stand and charge them £18.00

I know alot of fans are going to say it is our end and why should we have to give up our end
but if we don't do this,Bradford fans will be scattered all around Christie.

Keep them all together and make lots of money

we could still outsing them from the umbro end

Only £18? How much did we pay at their place?

Charge them £25, no concessions. Hopefully by good firday they'll be needing the win to get in the automatic spots. Supply and demand, they'll pay anything. :D

In all seriousness they could well bring over 2,000 if they are close to promotion. Aside from the money we would get for putting the Yorkies in the North Stand, there is the safety aspect also of having 1,000 numpties milling around the ground trying to get in.

2000???
if theyre going for automatic promotion they will double that at the very least
theyre taking 2000 to close games now
could be a bumper pay out day for a lot of people that day if Bradford continue to progress
I'm sure that in the present climate its not lost on the club??

I think it would be a good idea to give Bradford the carwash, they'd then be able to bring more fans meaning more money. We'd then fill the North Stand and Main Stand without any problems, making the ground look packed?

I hope the Board have plans in hand to let them have at least half if not 2/3rds of the Car Wash as well as the usual Umbro and Block A in the main stand.

But no way the North Stand!

We need the money.....
They need the points.....
Sounds like it's a 'win win' situation to me.

Definitely not, in fact if that did happen i for one wouldn't attend, anyway we had a crowd of over 4000 for the game last year when they just had the Umbro end and about a hundred seats in the main stand.

Hell ....Why not give them the run of the whole ground. We can have the middle section of the Car Wash .. as long as it dos'nt rain we'll be alright.

Our ground regulations say that we don't charge away fans more than home fans for comparable accommodation so I don't see how you can charge them £18 and us £13

It seems to me there are 2 options

Either give them some of the carwash and/or let them pay for additional terracing in the Umbro like Carlisle did or

do nothing in which case away fans might get into other parts of the ground but of course if they cause trouble or get identified they get evicted and we keep the money

Just give them the far half of the car wash, far half of the main stand and the umbro, half each. Its not as if were going to have a huge crowd complaining theres no room. But by that time we could be in a play-off place at this rate
Get over it ;)

Have been to Wigan and Blackburn in the last twelve months who both charged a fiver less for a seat in the home end than the identical one in the away end.

So if its good enough for them....

how about we get some extra security on all turnstiles checking all that come through for bradford fanishness and chuck 'em out straight away, stops any hassle/trouble and we keep all their money.

If we do it quietly they may all stupidly do it, they are the lesser county after all.

How can any doogooding "Lets do what the League tell us merchants " complain when I was forced to pay £20 to sit in the stand in Rochdale (but was annoyed I couldnt stand), then found out the home fans WERE paying far less than us to enter the ground.

Could a member of our board of directors please have the bottle to suggest we make some money out of away fans to at least apease the away fans that do make the trips and spend far more than those entering the South Stand - we are just too soft at times.

BTW - this is NOT just my rant but the views of many that went to Rochdale, that including the lack of protection when leaving the ground when our mini bus got pelted with stones from idiots who were allowed to run rampant round the outside of the ground. One day we will really retaliate and guess who will get in trouble??????

Let's face it, Bradford have a support that would be OK in the Championship, (I see PNE had about 12 thousandish the other night)
To be fair they should be at the top of Div 1 or mid table championship.
I say we embrace our Yorkshire cousens, If they are going to bring 3-4 thousand then give em the bloody tickets and you lot can sit/stand anywhere, its only for 1 game and think of the money we'd make.
Not to mention me old mate Sgt major and the amount of ale and food he'd sell. (Might have to prise the ale money from em)
Bradford are a good team, a set of good lads/lasses (I should know re the latter  8-) ), the only thing wrong with em is that they have the White Rose as an emblem. ;)

Anyone that gets involved hopefully. Violence is not the answer to any problem and I for one would hope that anyone fighting, for whatever reason would be banned. Whichever team they support.

We had some idiots of our own that were throwing stones at the Deva when we played Chester. You are right, its these idiots that give us all a bad name and incite violence. It puts decent people off coming to football. Did you report it Mick? You should, as it would make them aware for another set of away fans.

What does the Carwash and the Umbro stand roughly hold?
Also, whats the biggest allocation you could give us without giving up your beloved North stand?

It could well be a big pay day for you guy's....If we were playing you tomorrow I wouldn't hesitate in thinking we'd bring more than 2,000 with ease. It just so happens this fixture falls on Easter not to mention it's being played at the buisness end of the season.

You could be looking at around £35,000 just through away ticket sales not to mention the extra Morecambe floater or two.

We gave Carlisle the car wash and erected temp. seating in the Umbro...it surely wouldn't be a bad idea to do that?

It increases away capacity to 2,000 ish which should be ample for Bradford supporters.
