Take over update?

Take over update?

Postby Christies Child » Sat Apr 01, 2017 11:20 am

What is the current position with regards to the Court case and the Poilce fraud investigation?

How long will Abdul be preapred to Bank role the club before he and his family say 'enough is enough'... :?:

Unless this is sorted as a matter of urgency we'll be lucky if we are in a position to offer any existing players contracts for next season.

I'm extermely worried for our great clubs future.... :( :( :(

How many of the out of contract ones would we be keen to keep ?

Not too many , Ryan Edwards yes , Michael Rose yes but how many league clubs in our area will be willing to offer a contract to a player 35 years old so he will probably re-sign. Lee Molyneaux has had some decent games but will the call of the Crarn Grarnd be too much to resist ? Baz will qualify for a testimonial if he signs for a 10th season. Who else is deserving of a new deal ?

Mullers, Wildig (not sure if he's on a 2 year deal already) same with Alex Kenyon and then I'm struggling to think of any others. Possibly Kevin but to do more with the youth?

Yes , I wasn't sure about their contract positions. Both will be deserving of new contracts but will our ownership be resolved to enable that.

Kevin only does 1 year contracts but I am sure Jim will offer him one.

Unable to confirm either way but a neighbour approached me today to say that he'd been told that a deal has already been agreed for the purchase of the club.

When asked where he got his info from he said that it was from his local golf club in Silverdale and was being discussed at the bar by a group of golfers enjoying a post round of golf drink.

The club have a buyer, subject to all the normal checks by all parties.

Like to think that someone has had a word in Jimbo's ear to assure him that things will be OK going forward into next season.

Words mean nothing. Just look at the Diego fiasco - all looked rosy until he did a runner and there was no money. I think Jim would be justified in wanting to see money in the bank this time around.

Hate to say it but I feel that Jim will be off this summer barring a minor miracle, he's given everything to this club and deserves alot better, hope I'm wrong but..

Yeah he's been through the ringer and at times it's shown. However he also has to counterbalance that with the fact that at very few other clubs would he have kept his job for so long. Unless he's offered a contract at a better proposition than Morecambe FC then I can't see him voluntarily leaving. He'll have a couple of weeks off, re charge the batteries and come back firing again. What sort of scenario he'll be working in we can only guess but it would have to be dire for him to walk away.

What would constitute ''more dire'' than the last 4 months for him, facing a full season with more of the same?

Good shout, the last 4 months have been grim. Probably 'more dire' would equate to Joseph Cala (or similar) gaining control and wanting to interfere in everything plus team selection, as some of these foreign owners like to do. Leyton Orient have suffered more than us this season with their Italian owners and I would imagine Jim would walk if it ever got as bad as that. Hopefully there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel and it never gets that bad.At the moment we are in limbo and a lot of us cling to the snippets of information from the likes of you who hint at maybe better times to come. Who Knows?

So while the club is in limbo what are we supposed to do when the season ticket renewals come through the letterbox ?. Do you carry on as normal and put your hard earned into something that is uncertain or wait for some clarification of the clubs future . Been thinking long and hard about this and I still don't know what do :(
