Take over update?

Personally I would not commit, obviously it would be money down the drain if the club were to fold, incidentally anyone wanting to know how to use the season ticket system to finance reduced hospitality listen up, if a season ticket holder from any part of the stadium wants to enjoy matchday hospitality they can do so by paying an £18 fee before a match , therefore buying a season ticket for the carwash end and then paying £18 every week entitles you to hospitality for around £28 per match instead of £36 plus vat, a saving of around £260.00 a season.

Lee has some goods advice in his latest post.

However it's up to the individual to decide whether to go ahead as normal or to wait.

For me I'll probably go ahead as normal BUT the club could extend the early day offer until the end of June by which time hopefully things are sorted one way or the other. By extending the early day offer the club are understanding some fans dilema but as i said for me it's more important that the club continue to get its regular pre season income from existing season ticket holders as and when Season Tickets are availalbe.

I have to be honest and say Mrs A and I are hesitant over renewing until we know what's happening. We neither want to waste the money nor give it to someone who isn't going to act in what we would consider the benefits of club and community.

I shall be renewing.

It would be good to see the club being more creative and pro-active in respect of the pricing of season tickets to try and increase the number sold. Accrington are trying to sell 1,000 and if they can Ii am sure we can. The ownership issue needs sorting before any of that can happen.

With the announcement of The Macron deal and the arrangements for the Gala night out in public it seems the people currently running the club are positive the club will be here next season. So i don't see a problem with going ahead with season ticket renewals (not that they have been announced yet). Looks like we will be in the Football League again next year by the skin of our teeth.

I'll be renewing as well.

Might be wrong, but I'm sure we've had all the bumf and info for next season already by now?

I think Martin means we have usually received the season ticket information by now.
Looking back at the letters they are usually sent out first week in April. I paid for mine on the 17th April last season, which is - tomorrow!

Can only assume that nothing will be done till we have an owner

Could the current acting board afford to put something so vital on the back burner ?

I would have thought that the acting board will continue to make decisions that are in the best interests of the club i.e. trying to set a budget for Jim and putting the season tickets on sale.

I'll be interested to know when you all get your season ticket applications as I was mysteriously forgotten last season. Hopefully I won't have the same problem this time now some things have changed...

What does company law state about taking orders for goods or services you can't guarantee to supply?

I don't think that there is any chance that the club will be unable to deliver BUT what league that could be in will be a question yet to be answered.

As long as the club don't mention FL in any of its promotional packages thenit has covered itself... :?: :?: :?:

Still considering pay as you go next season , bearing in mind We have had 2 season tickets in the better seats for years at £750ish, too many unknowns and uncertainties around the club at the moment :(

Until the worst actually happens, they can take the money. Who's to know whether a company is 5 minutes away from being declared insolvent or 5 minutes away from a financial package to keep it afloat.

Even if it's later proved that directors acted illegally, that would only result in punishment for the director(s).

The spirit of JB Christie has communicated to me that the ownership situation will, all be totally sorted in less than 3 weeks.

Strong rumours of a beneficial owner taking over after ownership debacle is concluded in the courts. All the expectations are that Diego will lose, Burnard will become owner by proxy and conclude a deal quickly on behalf of Al-Hashemis.

Re season ticket uncertainty, which is understandable: there is consumer protection if you use a credit card to pay for goods/services that are not fulfilled due to the supplier going out of business. Google 'section 75, Consumer Credit Act.' If you have a credit card, that could be the way to go.

Good thinking Shrimp Girl. You are correct.

The club add a small surcharge for credit card purchases usually but worth it to protect your rights.

I understand that there may be details of next seasons tickets etc available during the next 14 days if not later this week.

As Mrpotatohead indicated a deal to sell the club is almost complete with May 2 being the date of the court case.
