Talking to some of the lads at the back of the Omega today, seems to be quite a few that are not sorted. Also been mentioned on MFC fans page on Facebook. Probably enough to fill another minibus maybe.

Something for the Supporter's Trust maybe? Be good to get a few more than the usual to this and celebrate the end to a tough season.

Could those that are interested in some form of travel to the Luton away game on Saturday 6th of May please speak up so that the Shrimps Trust can get a solid idea of numbers.

Are we looking at another coach, minibus or car share?

We will count you in HTR. We are trying to get a solid idea of numbers through all outlets at the moment. Once that has been done, we will look at what is required, how much it will cost and how it can be organised.
It may have to be done by an independent individual with the support of the Trust.

More people have come forward and it's possible that a small coach could be utilised.

Travellers Choice have 33, 39, 49, 51 and 57 seaters. I am going to get some quotes tomorrow.

Kirby Lonsdale Coach Hire have 29, 35, 37, 49, 53, and 57 seaters. Again, I will get quotes tomorrow.

There is also Yellow Rose as well.

I will also speak to someone at the club tomorrow to see if this is something that the club can run with the support of the Trust, as the Trust is not in a position to run travel alone. If the club is not in a position to get involved, then as I said before, an independent individual or group may need to do it with the support of the Trust.

I will do my best to sort something because at least 30 people are very interested in going to the match.

Why can't you do it mate because the club don't do travel so I think you're wasting your time with that.

Put me down for 2 seats please. Just an idea, why not take names/contact details/deposit(or full payment) at next Saturday's home game, set up a table in the bar and hopefully get enough names for a coach.

Most of the cost usually goes on the driver's wages so if there are 30 up for it already why not book a 50 seater and take a full sized coach?

This really is a game to celebrate and have a laugh as we have survived against the odds. Who knows what the near future holds but lets all get down to Luton!

Please bear with me fellas. I have literally only just finished writing and sending an article for Saturday's match programme that I've been working on since yesterday evening.

I will get on to the coach companies this afternoon and then post my findings as soon as I can.

I have filled in online quotation forms for coach hire with Travellers Choice and Kirby Lonsdale. I have also followed up with phone calls to both companies. The enquiries are being processed and I hope to hear back with prices tomorrow.

On the Club front, I rang this afternoon and my phone number is being passed on to someone so that the matter can be discussed further.

I haven't made an enquiry with Yellow Rose because they are a sister company to Kirby Lonsdale anyway.

Once the quotes are in and if they are economically viable, BHmfc idea of how to proceed seems the best way forward to me.

I will give a further update as soon as I have any new information.

Good evening everyone. I have received a quotation from Kirby Londsdale Coach Hire, the main points are given below:

Mercedes Benz Cheetah 29 Seater, no toilet, £980.00 working out at £33.79 each.

Mercedes Benz Esker Exec 37 Seater with toilet, £1020.00 working out at £27.57 each.

Mercedes Benz Setra Exex 49 Seater with toilet, £1190.00 working out at £24.29 each.

Mercedes Benz Setra Exec 57 Seater, toilet facility not stated, £1290.00 working out at £22.63 each.

I also rang Travellers Choice again, seems the online form didn't make into their system, details have been given over the phone and I should have a quote tomorrow morning.

Spoke to a director of the club this morning. It is difficult for the Club to get involved in away match travel because they are then subjected to all sorts of regulations and red tape. What they can do which I personally am perfectly happy with, is promote an independently run coach through their website and social media channels to help fill whichever coach is chosen.

All comments on the above are welcome.

So how many have you got on your 'interested' list?

I am toying with all sorts of ideas including:

- There and back on the coach (cheapest and most sensible option)
- There on the coach, then train into London, night out with a mate and Mega Bus back Sunday
- Drive to Luton, then into London, night out, then train back to Luton on Sunday and drive back

I think the first option is easier to get past the Mrs. If I drive I'd be happy to take a couple with me if they can get back to Luton around 2pm Sunday for a return back. Would want an even split of £50 for fuel.

Lets get it out there on social media with money upfront this Saturday. Then book the size you need on Monday or cancel

It was just over 30 at last count WB. I'll contact all those who were interested on Twitter this evening with the price guidelines. If it still looks like it might be a goer then it can be publicised on social media as HTR suggests and I can contact the Club again to utilise their kind offer to promote the idea.

I would be happy with any size coach because I really want to go. Perhaps it would be best to start taking names and deposit at Saturday's match, informing them that the more people that go, the cheaper it becomes. I would be surprised if we didn't get enough names for one of the larger coaches

This is the only viable option I think to get things off and running. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to fund a deposit myself.

I will be in the Globe Bar from 1.30pm on Saturday to answer questions, take names and money upfront. I will issue receipts for all cash taken.

I will look into the finer details over the next day or so and continue to post updates.

Please do all you can to get people on board, the more we have, the cheaper it will be.
