Only on goal difference but safety is all that matters

1-1 on 90 mins. Ref wanted his 15 mins of fame. 3-1 95 mins. Possible shove for penalty but soft. Scarred to tackle for 3rd. We are safe there going nowhere. Now to enjoy the rest of the weekend. On a footnote, there home end was shocking, outsung by the young kids for 90 mins.

Just got back and those three sentences sum it up exactly. Exeter were slick and quick on the break at times but we held them in the first half and i thought we bettered them in the second. Too faraway for me to judge the penalty but a draw would have been a fair result. Kev was winding up the fans again.....even had the ref laughing but he had to give him a yellow for his goal celebration

Guilty as charged -

He said: "It was soft. Very soft. It's not that it's not a penalty, but it's one of those. We've had two stone-wall penalties on myself last week where you could say that was a definite penalty.

"This one could have gone either way. I got goal-side of my man, I felt a tug. It's probably one of those where you can stay on your feet, but you just use the situation to your advantage.

"So it's not so much that it's a dive as such, but anyone who's on the pitch, if someone holds you back, you sort of stop.

What a shame we couldn't claim a point after all that. It sounds like another case of refereeing decisions going against us. We're mathematically safe now, so I suppose it doesn't matter too much.

No, he's wrong, it must have been a penalty 'cos the ref gave it and there's no such thing as a shit ref :?

"It's probably a soft penalty, but if it happened to us there probably would have been uproar, but on the flip-side, that's our season.

"Things even themselves out. We've had two stonewalls. One last week at Cambridge and one in the Newport game, so it's gone our way today, and that's just the way it is.

Not if you're little Morecambe they don't  How often have we had a dodgy decision go our way? Have we had a 'soft' penalty all season? Or last season? Or an opponent sent off after a crap decision? When even the player basically admits it was a dive, you know the ref was conned (or just crap). Fair play to him for being honest, but that's the only 'fair play'

Did we only have one shot in the entire game? Looks like it was very one sided?

And wasn't Reid's arm on Rose as much, if not more than Rose on Reid? Dreadful decision. Reid should have been booked for diving. Hope Exeter stay down. And Blackpool. Oh, and Carlisle because they are close.
