Excellent work by Omega and hopefully all his time and effort will be rewarded with a good following at Luton.

Looking forward to next season, maybe now is the time to consider some kind of official away travel club (backed by the Trust) where interested parties can pay a weekly sum towards away travel rather than to have to find the cost per trip.

Any monies left over in each individual account could be used for an end of season weekend away... :?: :?: :?:

Good afternoon everyone. I have now received a quotation from Travellers Choice. The main points are given below:

33 Seater Luxury Coach, £950.00 working out at £28.79 each.

49 Seater Luxury Coach, £970.00 working out at £19.80 each.

49 Seater Executive Coach with guaranteed toilet on board, £1000.00 working out at £20.41 each.

A quotation for a 57 and 65 seater will follow soon.

A very good quote indeed in my opinion.

As the booking is to be made within 14 days of travel, full payment has to be made at time of booking which will need to be Monday 1st May.

I also need ro liaise with the Club and Morecambe FC police liaison officers with regard to marshalling or stewarding etc.

I will post again later with any further details.

Got to go now as I've just had a booking for "Dad's Taxi"

Why don't you take £25 off each person on Saturday. Tell them it could be cost less or might be a little more depending on how many pay today

49 seater sounds good. Question is, pay the 61p to guarantee a place to piss or take a gamble?

Yep, sounds good to me HTR. I'm going to DM all those who have expressed interest through Twitter now.

Will speak to the Club tomorrow regarding promotion on their website and social media channels.

Should manage to fill the 49 seater if not bigger.

P. S. I think pay the extra 61p, it's a long way home

Good afternoon everyone. I have received an updated quotation from Travellers Choice. The main points in addition to the previous quote are given below:

57 Seater Executive Coach, £1200.00 working out at £21.05 each.

65 Seater Executive Coach, £1400.00 working out at £21.54 each.

So if demand requires, you can still get to the last Shrimps match of the season for less than £22.00 return.

I have liaised with Shrimps Police and the Club today.

The coach will be parked up next to the ground and will be right in front of us as we exit after the match.

Come on everyone, spread the word, let's make this happen and show Jim, Ken, the players, all the staff and the directors how much we appreciate their efforts this season and how much this great club means to us all.

OTR needs the support of as many fans as possible which hopefully could be the start of a regular away travel club.

Unfortunately old gits like me find coach travel just too much for the arthritic knees and weak bladders....

Thanks OTR hope your efforts prove a success.

Hope it's a success and perhaps we can start with unified luxury travel from the first away game next season!

Hi everyone. I took 18 paid bookings today with another 3 guaranteed tomorrow. I am still a good way off from being able to run the coach. I want to thank everyone who has supported this initiative so far.

I need another 19 at £25.00 each to get the 49 seater with toilet on board (necessity on such a long journey to and from) to be able to book the coach. Please ask your friends, family, colleagues if they want to come along and enjoy what will be a wonderful away day to support Jimbo, Kenny and the players.

Whatever the result, help me get us down to Luton and make one of those memories that we will talk about for years to come.

Reply on here or send me a PM or DM me on Twitter @stevedoran71. I will be out and about in the Morecambe, Lancaster, Carnforth area tomorrow so I can come to you.

After all the apparent interest in filling a coach of any size, I personally think this is cr@p after the effort that has been put in to getting prices and arranging.

Let's be having you!

OK. Steve has stuck his neck out here for everyone after over 30 people showed interest. He has spent a massive amount of time getting quotes and advertising, followed by sitting around waiting for people to turn up yesterday. After all that just 21 have come forward?

When people ask why coaches are not put on, the reason is here.

Steve needs another 20 to make this viable. Fortunately he hasn't yet paid a deposit or signed anything that he could be liable for. Unless there are others that come forward he will not be able to take the 21 who have committed and will have to return their money.

Come on folks! Have a day out in style next Saturday! If there is anyone else up for it PM Omega Terrace Roar or contact through Twitter @stevedoran71 . Jim and the lads would love it and Its a long close season, get your fix in while you can! :D

If the coach runs, the plan is to set off from The Globe Arena at 10:00 am.

There are still spaces left KS. Too many unfortunately. Another 3 people came forward yesterday evening who will pay today or tomorrow, that makes 24. I need 40 people at £25.00 each to get the £1000.00 needed to pay for the 49 seater with toilet, the 33 seater without toilet is only £50.00 cheaper. I will be ringing Travellers Choice shortly to get a price for their 24 seater but I don't think that will come out much cheaper than the 33.

If you are willing to pay £25.00 for each seat upfront today then I will do my best to get this done one way or another. If it doesn't happen due to lack of numbers, you will of course get a full refund of your money. If I get close to the required numbers there may be a little more to pay on the day, please see previous posts.

Thank you for your interest KS.

Been confirmed today that the coach is definitely running and that there will be a toilet on board too.

Check with OTR but I think there should still be seats available for any late deciders.

I am also getting picked up from Kingsway for any Lancaster based Shrimps ;)
