How many past or present Shrimp players have played in the premier?

I think i read somewhere that Kev may possibly have played in the Premier league! :D

there was football before the premier league you know! so we should include division 1 please,i will start with kieth newton,alan kennedy,ray charnley and peter sayer i think ta

Alan Taylor ...west ham, scored a brace in a cup final too.

peter mcdonnell was at liverpool but never played for first team.mickey heaton of everton.malcolm darling blackburn and norwich.billy wright everton,ronnie clayton blackburn rovers

peter mcdonnell won a european cup medal just by sitting on the bench! Then lost his medal, he got mobbed once at an FA trophy match at Gretna!

Colin Russell who played for us in 1990/91 season made one First Division appearance for Liverpool.

how can we forget the great late Ken Waterhouse our last manager to win a league title,I think he played for PNE in the old first division.

There are plenty of instances where players winding down their careers had a spell at Morecambe.

Its the ones who did well after starting or progressing from Morecambe who are more rare.

As mentioned Alan Taylor went from here to West Ham and scored 2 goals in an FA Cup Final.

Ray Charnley played for England after he left Morecambe.

Maybe Tom Barkhuizen could do something similar.

He also scored twice in the semi-final. I don't think anyone else has done that.
