There would appear to have been (and is currently) a lot of working being done to secure our club for the future which for me is extremely positive.

Abdul deserves a special word of thanks for the way that he has financed our club during the past months of uncertainty and it would be fitting if he was recognised in some way by our club.

Going forward it sounds as though expenditure during the close season may have been covered as a result of the £1million reported to have been put into the club by Abdul.

As for the ownership it appears that discussions with interested parties are and have been underway and it is understandable that the identity or indentities of new owners cannot or will not be revealed until the Court case is put to bed which is under a fortnight away.

In the meantime Mr Burnard appears to be the main man but I fully expect the name of the new owner(s) to be revealed well before the end of the month.

I'm confident that Jimbo is now in a position to open discussions with those players he wants to be part of next seasons promotion seeking squad and that includes new squad players who will be given assurances about wages etc. Players not being paid on time is all part and parcel of a footballers life and you only have to look at Accy where players past and present haven't been paid on time as well as Kevin who experienced non payment whilst at Chester.

Just been tweeted that Diego did not pay up.

Therefore he has lost and case has been struck off.
