Yep, but there was no stopping the first of those which made it 2-1.

Wonder if we can sign Stockton now...

A brilliant afternoon/evening , thank you to all involved in organizing and running the event .
Great to watch the SKY footage of the match and listen to some of the players recounting their memories (including the reenactment of D Carlton / G Hunter goal celebration which almost ended up on top of Mr Burnards table    ) .

Great day, well attended. Good to see the class of 07 again and that so many of them made an effort to get there. It's days like yesterday that make the club special, I know the players I spoke to were happy to be back and to see so many familiar faces.

Mark Lillis "Probably the greatest achievement in my football career" - wow, that's 40+ years as player and coach (currently out of work)

Gary Thompson "I was at the club from a boy to a man, so winning with this club at Wembley with all my friends and family there meant a lot."

Danny Adams - funny story about plums, and also apologies for Scott Davies being late. "He's been at the Southport film festival, he's just moored his yacht in Morecambe Bay"

Craig Stanley on the Gill 'headbutt' (who he later played with at Bristol Rovers) - "I was tired after all the ground I'd covered, having had a brilliant game. I thought I'll take one for the team and give Danny a rest."

Wayne Curtis about the penalty "I still get reminded about it everyday when I'm in the chippy or ASDA"
Hello! Hello! We are the Morecambe boys!

Morecambe fan from Hong Kong - just managed to join the reunion party at the Globe on 20th. It was nice to have to chat with local fans and ex-players (including current manager Jim Bentley), I have to thank everyone associated with the club for showing me around the ground and brilliant hospitality, brilliant experience and hope I will turn up the game in the future.

And I'm new to here, so it's my pleasure knowing you guys.
