New shirt sponsor is local firm, Purple Property Group

http://www.morecambefc.com/news/article ... 19348.aspx

Presumably will have the purple coloured logo on the new shirts.

Anyone know when we get to see the new shirts?

Welome...but wonder what happens to the Omega Holiday sponorship :?:

Will it be absent from the Omega stand and more importantly will Nigel make a more than welcome come back as a Director :?:

Sure Nigel said he wouldn't be renewing the package?

Unless (hopefully) he has had a re-think now.

It is logical that some part of the logo/design will be purple

Exactly, so apart from it being an awful colour for a shirt (imo!), the sponsor's logo would be camouflaged!

Seems quite late to be agreeing deals to be next seasons shirt sponsor - maybe this was agreed a while ago? I have no issue with the club changing the colour of the cartoon shrimp badge - it isn't our proper badge anyway.... but hope that we have a blue away strip next season to commemorate the 10 year Wembley win. Either way, great to see the club attracting new partnerships - well done Steve Brown.

Nigel Adams said that he wouldn't be renewing his deals whilst under the Lemos regime when he resigned as a director last year, citing lack of management information. Diego is still co-chairman of Morecambe FC as per companies house and the clubs own website (to clarify, the court case ruled that he isn't the owner of G50 Holding Ltd - but he still is legally involved with the running of Morecambe FC the company). Once Lemos is removed as a director of Morecambe FC which is surely a formality, (either by resigning or more likely when he is removed at the next AGM - whenever this is called... hopefully soon) perhaps he might be persuaded to reconsider and come back? He was one of the most approachable directors from a fans perspective, and is a big fan and backer of the club.... soon after he resigned I saw him paying to get through the turnstiles and stand on The Omega Terrace amongst fellow fans. I think that speaks volumes given everything he is done for the club during his time as director.

The May 2016 accounts have to be filed at Companies House by next Tuesday 23rd May so maybe some news on an AGM soon after that.

Well said RRW. :D :D :D

As for an AGM, it could well be that as and when an AGM is held that it covers not only the latest results but those of the previous year results that have not been presented / voted on at any AGM.

Just looked at Companies House website and we have today filed a form shortening the accounting period by a day.

This means that the May 2016 accounts do not have to be filed at Companies House until 19th August.

So don't expect an AGM any time soon !

The next document to be filed is the Confirmation Statement (formerly known as the Annual Return) which has to be filed by 5 July. This will show all the shareholdings at that date.

They need to sort out Diego so they could quickly organise an EGM

Wow, the accounts must really be bad for them to do it twice for the same year. I thought the losses for 14/15 were bad enough, but 15/16 must be even worse. And this for the year that the director's report of a few years back said would be break even! I wonder if we've broken the million pound loss barrier?

It could be that although surely the people that need to know will have the information.

It may be that the Auditors were unsure about whether they would be paid for their work until the ownership was sorted so they may have made a late start to the process.

Indeed, the "important" people such as banks, prospective buyers, etc will have seen at least draft accounts. Probably more about protection from credit reference agencies etc so as to keep lines of credit in place from suppliers. The credit rating is already bad and the worse it gets, the more likely that suppliers will require cash on delivery, especially those who use factoring where the factoring company won't advance funds for companies with poor credit scores.

So did I :D :D

But I agree that a blue away shirt to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Wembley promotion win is a great idea :D :D
