Graham Burnard Interview

It was not his father that forged his own signature or presided over the demise of a football team in the north east though was it?

Biting the hand that feeds ?, Burnard is doing what he is being paid to do, and HE decides who the club is sold to, so ''hoping for the best'' is all everyone can do.

Couldn't be Abdul by any chance.....the very same who has saved our club....on more than one occassion... :?: :?: :?:

Instead of wishing to put yet another club financier down..maybe you should be more conciliatory for a change. :!:

Abdul was quoted on the clubs own official website as the person who agreed to sell the club to Joseph Cala.

We have been informed by representatives of G50 Holdings that Abdulrahman Al-Hashemi has agreed to sell his interest in G50 Holdings Ltd that has a controlling interest in Morecambe Football Club to the Cala Corporation and that the agreement provides for interim finance to secure the ongoing future stability of the Club.

Either you believe the club statement on the official club website is a pack of lies or the club is now in control of the person who previously thought selling to Joseph Cala was a good idea. Do we trust them to sell the club to someone who has the best interest of the club at heart?

Has Mr. Burnard passed the League's "fit and proper person" test given his problems in the past?

Don't pin any hopes on the 'fit and proper person' test to stop us being sold to the wrong person. It's proved completely inadequate on many occasions.

If CC came out with something sensible I'd give him support, the problem here is that the same fans keep backing whoever comes along , even when presented with proof of unsuitability.

If Rod Taylor , Michael Hinchcliffe, Michael Gibson, Mark Swindlehurst, Jim Bentley or Freeze were to become chairman I'd be more than happy, as they are all very trustworthy.

Its just the cashflow that's a problem for me at the moment.
But if I could mysteriously "acquire" 82% of a holding company that owns the club overnight and not know how, that would be nice!

Can't you borrow a shedload of cash from someone and give them an A.E...A.E.I.O.U?

Agree totally with the second part of the above, but i will stick with my comment that we would have been neck deep in the shite if the aforementioned parties hadnt stepped in .

What I don't understand is how the club's website can say we can now put the problems behind us and get on with running the club unless they are sure that the ownership situation will not blow up again in the near future. I'll be happier when one or two of the players who have been offered contracts sign them for (to me) it will mean that Jim believes the problems have been resolved. I can't believe that he would be encouraging anyone to sign if he didn't believe that some form of stability has returned.

These good people have a good few quid between them and do and have done a lot for the Club, but they ain't going to be subsidising us by £15K every week of the year on top of what they already do.

Wasn't expecting them to , I was merely saying who I would trust rather than who I wouldn't .

So you are saying you trust these people because you kind of know them but you don't trust Mr Burnard because you have read things about him yet he is here working with the people you do trust to keep te club going ?

I more than ''sort of know'' all bar one on my list, Ding , I know them very well indeed, one of them is executor for my will.

All the candidates for new owner so far have been dire.
