I hope not, he's barely been fit the past few years...Looks like we are going with a tiny squad next season, no room for passengers sadly.

Totally agree , so far there has been rumours of signing an injury prone ex player and a 37 year old ex player . Guess the pot is still empty if true :(

he's had a shit time since he left us, bet he's itching to get back, tricky little player, quick feet, and brilliant impact sub.

I can see him relaunching his career with us.

I agree with GD. Worth a punt providing his wages aren't too excessive. Think he will be hungry and has talent to grab 15-20 goals if he keeps fit.

I agree with GD too he has had a shit time but why would signing for us make the situation any different ?. If we are not careful we could end up having the same scenario as Peter Murphy with long term injuries and I would be surprised if we can afford to do that . I really hope his spell of injuries is now over but it's not guarenteed .

I like the idea of having the likes of Ellison and Redshaw, potentially coming off the bench, game changers.

but respect Jim's decision if he chooses otherwise, as he wont have a lot of money to play with, and might not risk the gamble.

but that's what gambling is..

As you say its Jimbo's decision and we will have to go with it , didn't realize Ellison had signed up ?

sorry assumed he'd signed up, can't see where else he'll go in the N/W at his stage of his career, and he looks happy playing for us.

Exactly my thoughts and i thought he would have been one of the early signings !

He's been that fit last season he managed to play 2 games , hardly gonna score 15-20 goals . If we are on a tight budget then definitely not worth a gamble .

The last striker we signed that came to us having played hardly any games the previous season with a long term history of injury problems worked out quite well.

Is there such a thing as a "per game" contract where he'd be paid according to how many games he played and how many goals scored? I agree it's too much of a risk to give him a full contract, but if he isn't getting many decent offers from other clubs, he may be willing to sign a "per game" contract, especially with a club that he knows will look after him.

Getting somebody free subject to a medical is hardly a risk, if he is fit enough to be insured then his wages are covered, so that just leaves ''is he good enough?'', and he is.

Just tweeted about a hatrick tonight for a certain RAFC whilst on trial. Looking at the preseason results not difficult to see where he could be going
