Boardroom announcement

Gary Taylor has reigned as a director of MFC due to work commitments . It doesn't get any better :(

I must admit I am along with others getting concerned of the direction of the club is going in. Doesn't help when we have not had any news from the current players that have not signed yet, after the season finished in May. If they have, why do we always have to hear off another source first. To get more bums on seats that's the whole point in keeping the fans informed first. I am getting to the point of becoming disillusioned by the communication from the club and its lack of respect for keeping fans informed first.

There still is time to sign players including the current squad, but its the lack of communication which both worries and infuriates me. I don't have faith in Burnard taking the club in a positive direction, after the resignations.

If no one has re-signed accept for Baz and no one new has been signed what is there for the board to tell us. Do you want to be told those facts and the reasons why? Would that increase fans feeling of well being?

Is this not pretty much the same every year, with more news of signings during July?

Yes but it's not every year we have no owner and the directors are jumping ship . As said before John we usually have had some players resign by now especially with the amount we had out of contract . It's the same old problem there is absolutely no communication between club and fans :(

One would have hoped that the Trust would be a font of more information but looks as though they are just as in the dark as everybody else.

With pre season training on the horizon let's hope that any fog will have been cleared by then and that we can look forward to the start of the new season with a modicum of hope and expectation.

That was the premis I bought my £750 worth of season tickets on , at least be able to compete . At the moment we could be starting the new season worse off than we ended the last :(

I don't mean Barry, I mean Rose & Ellison. How long was it before the club mentioned it. Didn't it come from another source that they signed new contracts? It just doesn't go well that two people have recently resigned as well. We have always been slow out of the blocks to break news or communicate with fans, but when we have one of the lowest home attendances in the league you would think things would change to get more bums on seats. Previous seasons we always used to get a bit more news on new contracts & transfers before now. Not expecting new signings now but up to date news were we are at on possible signings or extended contracts.

As far as I am aware he didn't really do very much, hardly has any shares and won't be missed by anyone.

Obviously the Trust open meeting in May said who were voted on as Trustees. Following a meeting of the Trust board they sent an email out to all members with details of progress. Stuart Rae was elected as Chair, Jack Steer as Treasurer and Richard Allan has been co-opted on to the board.

The Trust have also written to the club to seek a meeting to begin a dialogue and start to get some clarity of the ownership situation.

As for Gary Taylor, he was one of those PMG signed up on a three-year deal to be a director when they £15k a year. That three years has come to an end and it may well be that the board don't want to extend the offer any further.

Not a director according to Companies House.

The Confirmation Statement has to be submitted to Companies House by 5th July so that will set out the various shareholdings as at 21 June.

Previous seasons we had more staff to do stuff like that, the board knew what was going on and jimbo knew what he was working with for the next season and everyone could plan properly - have you been living on the moon for the past year?

Things have been going down hill for more than a year. So you are telling me because of staff shortages that is why we are not kept informed? Mr Burnard was interviewed beginning of May regarding Jim & the club & nothing since. Surely their is staff that can still keep us informed. I have not been living anywhere apart from seeing the club going from bad to worse as well as attendances dwindling by the season. We need some positive news in the next week or two that we are not going the same way as last season.

Maybe no news about 'permanent' signings because there will be a hell of a lot of triallists pre season..... :?: :?: :?:

Think you could be right it is looking that way. I am hoping if Thommo arrives he can persuade Jim in bringing his ex team mate from Bradford who plays at CB. Always admired this defender both at Rochdale & Bradford & chips in with goals as well. Somebody we desperately need and available from end of June.

If you are referring to Rory McArdle , he has signed a 3 year deal at Scunthorpe today.
