Shrimps Trust Update June 2017

The text below is taken from an email sent to Shrimps Trust members on 18th June 2017 and is intended for those that didn't receive the email or those that haven't joined the Trust as yet.

Trustee Board Update

The recent Special General Meeting held on Saturday 20th May saw the formal dissolution of the Fans Club of Morecambe and the election of all Trustee nominees on to the Shrimps Trust committee. All Trustees were approved by the Election Committee and accepted by those members present at the meeting. At a subsequent meeting of Trustees on Tuesday 6th June, the board co-opted Richard Allan on to the committee and assigned roles to individuals. All Trustees will be responsible for driving the Trust forward and ensuring that the Trust's aims are delivered. Memberships 2017/18:

Discount partners and membership benefits for the new season are currently being finalised. Seasonal memberships will be on sale from the first home pre-season friendly v Preston North End on Tuesday 18th July and will also be available to purchase online shortly afterwards. Due to the increased costs of operating a Trust, the membership fee has risen to £10 for the season, which is in-line with existing Trusts.

Feedback and Questions:

Trustees have written to the Board of Directors requesting a meeting to discuss the ongoing ownership situation surrounding the Club, and to clarify the current structure. If you have any questions for the meeting, or general feedback about Trust activities please contact shrimpstrust@gmail.com

We hope to have Membership Packs available from the Preston North End friendly onwards. A lot of work has and is going on behind the scenes to prepare an update booklet that includes a brand new joining form with a flyer detailing the latest year round discounts and seasonal monthly prizes. Proofing is underway and printing of these and all freshly designed Membership Cards is imminent.

Latest news is that we may have printed Membership Packs available for the Blackburn pre-season fixture and then membership will open on the night of the launch. Further details to follow by email to all existing Members and on a new thread on here.
