Excellent news....BUT concerned that the news about Michael Rose may have been premature....pleased about Aaron who for me could be a key figure in our forth coming squad for the new season.



As for the new lad, no way can we play high balls to him (assuming he's signed as a striker ) as he's only 5'6'' so maybe a change in tactics....and not before time....

I was at the Globe last week arranging a reception and spoke with a member of staff regarding Rose. I was told that he hadn't signed as yet but has given his word that he will do on his return from holiday.

If my maths are correct this news about the signing of existing squad members means that there are only 2 of those out of contract yet to sign; Mullers and Michael Rose.

Kevin seemed to imply that others are due to sign a new contract in time for pre season.

Let's hope that Kevin is in the 'know' and that both Mullers and Michael will sign up for a further year...at least.

Jim was on Radio Lancs Thursday evening and he seemed to say that player(s) plural had decided to move on. We know about Edwards so it would seem from reports that Mullin is also likely to move on , maybe to Lincoln or Tranmere.

Edwards & Mullins will be two big losses, but I have every faith our magician in charge will pull something together.

I am huge fan of both as they really seem to be able to knuckle down at a young age (to caveat this opinion I have seen very little live games over the last few years but through Shrimps player and through trusted sources). Mullin has the potential to be a frustrating player but with hard work and with a good coach he has improved massively. That all being said, you can completely understand the motivations to move a) a player looking to better themselves & b) last year's issues and late salaries.

It would be big news if we can get Rose signed up as he seems to have the air of confidence to pass through the team. Hopefully he's good for his word (if that is true) and I'm sure JB will unearth a few more hidden unpolished gems.

If Rose does re-sign for us he would be the ideal choice as captain following Peter Murphy's retirement.
