Match day coverage formerly via Player?

Match day coverage formerly via Player?

Postby Christies Child » Thu Jun 22, 2017 4:54 pm

Sorry straight away if this topic has already been covered :? , but what are the arrangements for this coming season so that we can be treated once again to the expertise and whit of our former Player commentators who have done superb coverage of as many away (not foregetting home) games as possible to date.... :?: :?: :?:

I understand that iFollow have taken over from Player and that free subscription formerly provided to season ticket holdrs is no longer available.... :( :( :(

What are the costs involved for fans to replace Player with iFollow... :?: :?: :?:

Costs have yet to be decided but there will be additional channels available.

Jim's live match feed is on iShout
The directors can be found on iMPoor
The new owners channel is iHaventGotAClue

By the sounds of it, it's going to cost £45 per season to receive match day audio coverage as well as match day highlights from iFollow. :o

Is that a fact or have Freez and Co made alternative arragements similar to previous seasons with Radio Lancashire.... :?: :?: :?:

EFL Digital provide the website and PlayerHD service for the club you support. Throughout May and June we will be moving the club website to a new and improved website platform. As part of that development PlayerHD will become iFollow.

Your subscription will be affected in the following way.

For those users that subscribe on a Monthly basis by Credit Card, Debit Card or Pay Pal:

- No payment will be processed between 3rd of May and 9th of June

- At the point that your club website is relaunched your service will continue under the iFollow brand with all of the same features and benefits as before.

- Your monthly fee of £4.49 will not increase.

The only change you will notice is that with effect from 9th of June, payments will not be collected by FL interactive Ltd. Instead, the name EFL Digital Ltd will appear on your statement.

For those users that subscribe on an Annual basis by Direct Debit:

- No auto renewal of your service will take place when your current subscription expires. No further payments will be taken at that time unless you take a new subscription.

- You will be able to access iFollow on your new club website when it launches.

- At the anniversary date of your initial payment, your subscription will end. At this point you will need to purchase a new iFollow package, the format of which will differ from the traditional Annual membership that you have subscribed to until now.

If you have any questions regarding your contract, you can email iFollow@efl.com.

The terms and conditions for your subscription to the new iFollow service will be available for you to view on the new website and when you login to iFollow after launch.

Many thanks
EFL Digital

So it looks as though we are not taking the independant route regarding match day audio as Accy have done and will continue to do so for the forth coming season.

I would have prefered to have done our own thing like a number of other clubs are considering.... :(

News update on the club website here:
https://www.morecambefc.com/news/2017/july/ifollow2/

There's a link from that page to https://www.morecambefc.com/ifollow/subscribe/ which, as well as the live video coverage which is categorically stated to be not available to UK and ROI residents, also advertises full match replays as part of the £45 season pass. I assume, but would like confirmation, that this is available to UK and ROI residents, and would like to know how soon after the final whistle these full match replays are available.

The club's decision some time ago to take up the option of using the Football League's own platform for their website ties them into whatever the league provide for them. The club have no choice whether or not to use iFollow.

Accy did not take that route therefore free to do what they want.
