Vadaine Oliver interview on OWS

Good to hear that he's prepared to move closer to the club. Travelling from Yorkshire would have been too far as a former player found out travelling from the Midlands resulting in him leaving due to the travel.

Jimbo would have liked to have brought him to the club in January but he's finally got his man, so let's hope that he can work wonders with him and that both parties can benefit from the signing.

I had a look at the FA Trophy final highlights today to see how Vadaine shaped up. For a 6ft 2inch player he is extremely quick as typified when he raced to get on the end of a cross to score York's 2nd goal. Also looks good in the air which should be useful.

So being little old Morecambe 'known for it's overachieving' has it's benefits :D

It can be done. Burton Albion who used to be our whipping boys in the Conference and who looked up to us have recently paid £500,000 for a player !

Have a look at Oliver's goals on Youtube for Mansfield/ York. He's gonna love our long ball game.

Whereas Shaun Miller told fans at the end of his season with us that he'd love to have stayed but the travelling from and to his Stafford home was too much... then he signed for Carlisle!

I think that is what Shrimps fans dream of.
Trying to emulate what other clubs, seen as small, have achieved.
Burton, Fleetwood, even York were once in the Championship.
We can get there, but obviously we need owners who will invest and do it the Morecambe way, building it up over time.
