Wild Boar Burgers are all the rage in Salford!

Aren't they spending millions on doing their ground up :o ?

I wonder if Uncle Peter gave him a good reference?

Presume he's bought the shares off Paul Scholes who would then be free to be Manager of Oldham

From the BBC:

"Paul Scholes says he has "nothing to report" after he was linked to the vacant managerial position at League Two side Oldham Athletic.

The 44-year-old has been in talks with the club who are looking to appoint a successor to Frankie Bunn.

"I have made no secret I do want to get back into football in some capacity," the former Manchester United star said.

"Nothing to report on Oldham. Whether that will conflict with Salford, I don't know."

Scholes, who was speaking at a press conference to announce David Beckham had become a shareholder in Salford City, attended Oldham's defeat by Macclesfield on Saturday.

He has a lifelong affinity with the Latics having grown up in neighbouring Langley."

Just when you thought it couldn't get any harder. My Oldham supporting mate (whom I will be joining in their hospitality on Saturday) tells me that the well informed word on the street is that Scholes will be announced as the new manager after their game tonight. Expect a very large crowd on Saturday if it happens.

The pitch covers are already on. Their captain Clarke who the BBC showed as a straight red card last Saturday and a three game ban was in fact two yellows and a one game ban i.e. tonight if it goes ahead.

The only luck we get nowadays is bad luck
