people need to realize these cut backs don't just effect the football team.

there will be staffing costs and Policing to consider, it will be far more easier for Denby and The Stewards to contain the Lancaster following in the seating rather than a bigger area where our Stewards would be stretched in numbers.

In order to have the terraces in particular the away end open, we'd have to employ more security staff for any potential trouble otherwise MFC can get in trouble themselves and fined for not controlling the crowd.

plus for the away section you will only need to have one set of turnstiles open and one Kiosk serving drinks and snacks underneath the away seating.

George is spot on here. This isn't a normal friendly where fans can mingle, float about the ground, sunbath etc. It probably won't bring in a massive crowd either (maybe 1500 tops?) so not much revenue but will require a fair amount of security. Could be a good test for the younger players too as City will be well up for this. Could be an afternoon with a bit of spice!

I remember a City fan wearing a Lancaster replica shirt with a big number 8 on the back.

Above the 8 was the word " I "

And below it, the word "Shrimps".

Hilarious.

I think I read some news a couple of months ago that kids are no longer free at MFC.

Why would there not be many Lancaster fans at the game when the Neil Marshall charity will benefit from the gate money.

I would suspect it is one very sad juvenile individual that wrote all that rubbish.
