No announcement yet on this and I guess Jim is looking at how the individuals react with each other in pre-season training before making his decision.

My original thought was that it would be Rose, but I guess that there are a number of others who merit consideration.

Any thoughts?

Of players on the books now the only candidate is Michael Rose.

But watch out for an experienced centre half joining the club who may be offered it to clinch the deal

I would agree that at present Rose seems the best candidate. Kenyon might make a captain in the future, and there's also Winnard, but I'd go with Rose.

Rumours that Jeff Street is looking for a contract, but more likely that Blackie could be prefered....with a promise of taking over as Captain.
