These are taking over the sponsorship.

They will hold a competition for fans to come up with a new name for the function room.

Thank you Shrimper; that's so very helpful. I must admit that I thought that I just had to be missing something, but still haven't worked it out. I'm quite sure that I will kick myself once I do realise what it's about. :D

You are missing a very poor joke.

It has been called The Wright and Lord Suite until now.....

Yes. That much at least I know. I have just trawled the threepiecejoinery website and have most certainly not picked up a clue.

OR ..........    are you talking about a three piece suite? If so, then I must agree with you Shrimper that it is a very poor joke (and I have been very thick)!!! :o :o :o

The problem is that you see a post from someone that normally posts things which are worth reading and which are pretty factual and you assume that all posts from that person can be categorised the same way. WRONG!!!! MY MISTAKE ................ but take that as a back handed compliment if you will. All future posts from yourself will now be read through carefully several times (just to make sure)!!!

Ohhhhh, I'm just bored - we're just all needing some football, eh?!!!

On a serious note on this one.. Wrighty is a solicitor so his wording on that statement will have been very carefully considered.

He's saying: 'I'm not going to put sponsorship money in at the moment... but I'll be back if ownership passes to someone (probably local) with more of a personal interest, and so will lots of other local sponsors/investors.'

That sounds to me like a message to the current major shareholder, saying 'do the right thing and look favourably - and don't be greedy - on any offer you get from such a person, or persons, because that's what the club needs'.

No idea if such an offer is imminent - or on the table - but he's publicly putting out what most of us believe is the way forward.

Delighted that Graham has got involved once again with our club :D :D :D

The Local Choice Suite ( :?: ) formerly the W&L Suite could now continue it's growing reputation as the local choice for organisers of weddings, barmitzvahs el al.....

Welcome home Graham :D

Wouldn't be my choice for the name of a Suite :(
The Hodgson Room has a better ring to it. ;)

So.... Wrighty moves aside as main lounge sponsor saying about the club's board: "They deserve an owner behind them with a truly personal commitment to the long term future of the club."

Then.... Graham (with whom Wrighty previously attempted to take control of the club) steps in as new main lounge sponsor.

Oh..... wouldn't it be great! I hope so, I really hope so!

You and me both..... :D

GH has been and will remain my favoured choice as long term owner of our club....even in partnership with Wrighty.... :)

Aaah, right, apologies. No disrespect to Mark, I just thought Graham would be signing the cheque on that one.
