Triallist keeper was excellent.

Very good but wouldn't go as far as to say he was excellent just on one game. Was he a different triallist goalkeeper than v PNE.

Reece Turner really needs to step up and show what he's capable of because tonight he was not up to it despite his goal.

Brian McLean was absent tonight although his Porsche was in the car park so maybe just getting some treatment.....hopefully because the partnership with No5 looks to have the makings of something good.

Pulling off a string of top notch saves tonight constituted an excellent performance CC, what the hell are you babbling about man are you blind?

don't buy programs, not sure with players names, but one player think his name is Ben Hedley, Midfielder? good upper body strength, can only get better.

he'll be good competition in midfield if players start slacking through the course of a season.

I thought our keeper played well, some very good stops. Kenyon had another good game. Oliver and Campbell looked a bit lost again. Hopefully they will both come good.

Think Jimbo and Co need to adapt our tactics to get the best out of Oliver. He's the type of target man that we've not had under Jimbo and therefore our previous syle of play needs to be changed to ensure that we benefit from Oliver's height and physical presence.

Thought that last night we played far better than v PNE and that we did present a threat at times but the old habit of giving their wide men too much room was there for all to see.

Our defence played far too deep which allowed Rovers total freedom in midfield, the engine room of any team.

Next up is AFC Fylde which will give us a better idea of how we will fair against a similar type of team.

Neil, fancy eating some cake if you've got some? You're constantly accusing Jim &/or Ken of hoof ball tactics (when some of us think it's just a panic reaction by the players), but now we don't have the right tactics for a big target centre forward?

Oliver will thrive on cross balls into the box from wing play. Big difference in hoof ball than playing it into the box from the wings.

If you care to read a previous post I did say that we were putting more balls into the box from the wings and that is what Oliver will provide the goods for us.

And to date no hoofball .....thank goodness.
