Beach towel update 22/07/2017

Just received some samples from a producer and have to say that the full colour PRINTED version is of a poor quality and that for circa £1 less per unit the WOVEN sample is of far superior quality although it is limited to 2/3 colours.

I would envisage the towel will sell for £20 per unit meaning the club will get around £4 per towel after artwork and VAT costs are included in the intial production cost.

I will now contact the club to progress as I suspect that we need their permission to reproduce the logo.

I will try and get the club shop to take the samples for fans to view and decide if they are interested in purchasing a beach towel.

Please note that the samples are for material only and NOT of an actual MFC towel.

I suggest that the actual design is thrown open to fellow SVers so that we can have an actual vote on the prefered design?

Just got to raise the finance and get the club to agree for use of the logo.

Financing the project is the major hurdle... .but I'll do my best to get it resolved.

Why not leave the sample in the club shop and if people like it, let people pay upfront for it. (Then you have exact numbers and it's paid for)

The samples hopefully to be left in the shop are of the material only as the price differs between the WOVEN and PRINTED version, with a distinct loss of quality in the PRINTED version.

Hopefully by next week I'll be able to provide a number of design alternatives BUT these will only be representations produced on paper and not to scale.

To provide actual samples of the finished design would be too costly to produce.

IF ANY FELLOW SVers HAVE ANY DESIGN SUGGESTIONS PLEASE SEND ME A PM WITH THEIR IDEAS AND ALSO POST ON THIS FORUM.. UNDER THE POST HEADED TOWEL DESIGN. Maybe other SVers could comment on the designs?
