Local kids teams folding because of this and club has gone against what it promised.
Take young kids into a team and leave their mates is no way to help develop kids at grass roots
Think club needs to build bridges with local teams in the area and not go against us all as some of us fans actually run local kids teams and are not impressed with the attitude of MFC
Drummond is a joke!!!!!!!

Not quite sure why kids can't still play a bit of local league footy though as well as for the academy?

The Academy and the system is much bigger than Drummy. If he wasn't here it would be someone else and if it wasn't Morecambe's Academy it would be someone else. Teams in the STYL league have lost players to clubs already. Heysham Blue Star I mentioned lost a player to Man City the previous season, we've had one at Everton this week and others have been at PNE, Blackburn and Wigan. The future of a club like Morecambe is an outstanding system for generating young players like Thommo, Perks, Wayne, Danny, Drummy and others we used to find and grow. This does that with or without a Drummy, who is just doing his job and very well. The important thing is for the club to work closely with STYL and its member clubs. Additionally, it should work with them to find pitches, as the situation at LMC isn't fair on a club that's used it for a long time.
