Amazing Stat

Today was the first home victory for Morecambe in an a season opener since a 1-0 nil win vs Halifax Town in 2005/06.

Admittedly, the fixture computer likes to put us away most seasons.... but still quite remarkable given our historic strong start to campaigns.

Thought it might have been Garry Thompson (would have been quite amazing really), but no - it was Wayne Curtis.

Yes, this was our 11th game in the League and the only other times we were at home first was against Hereford in 2009 and of course Barnet in our first ever and in 2011

The random computer has sent us to Wycombe on 3 occasions :?

Google fail.

Our first ever league game was a home fixture vs Barnet in 2007 (0-0).

We also played Barnet at home in 2011 (Lost 0-1) which was a season opener, Jimbos first game as manager.

You'll have to leave the stats to the stattos :ugeek:

A quick check of Soccerbase shows it was a pen on our first visit to the Darlington White Elephant Arena on 24/3/08...
