What a good day

What a good day

Postby P/T Indie » Sat Aug 05, 2017 9:53 pm

Today is the most I have enjoyed a game in a long long time, we played well easily deserved the win , played nice football at times and when we do hoof it we now have someone who can hold it up. Oliver was like a magnet everything stuck to him.

My little lad met Jim and Baz and he is made up tonight :D both were brill with him (how quick has Baz recovered from his injury).

Signed up for the Supporters Trust and we'll impressed with the pack you get, with badge and car sticker nice work.

I even managed to get a pie at halftime today :o although it was very well done and have they reduced the price of hotdogs?

Also the programme is excellent haven't bought one for a while but it's packed with content great effort by all the contributors.

is there anything to moan about? Well I thought Christie the cat would make an appearance for his new prize draw and I never saw anyone selling tickets for it, oh and the ref was shocking!

Are we slowly getting our club back?

Great to read mate. Stellar performance from everyone involved at the club by the sounds of it. Thommo scoring again must be surreal! Wish i'd been there.

Just like to add to this; unsure if people are aware (and I hope he doesn't mind me pointing this out) but Quinny is now doing all the design work for the matchday programme himself with the help from others at the club. Previously the club were paying a company in London to do this, at the cost of circa £10k a season. When I spoke to Derek at the Trust Launch Night (that he compered) he said that the programme design and artwork might not look as good, but to stick with it and hopefully it will improve as the season progresses. To me it looks fine already. Well done Quinny & co!

Also, due to the lack of commercial bods employed by the club over the summer; I understand that there hasn't been many programme adverts sold - so in a funny way its actually a lot better than it already was IMO (and it was already a good read), because its packed full of content rather than adverts. If you don't regularly buy programmes, or prefer to pilfer ones upstairs from hospitality tables, I'd recommend that you give it a go -its a great way of supporting the club.

I and others also commented on how good the programme was yesterday. I actually like the non glossy approach and still 67 pages. well done Quinny!
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think
