Now that's what I call entertainment

For me todays performance was the best home game I've seen for entertaiment for this season to date and all of last season as well.
I'm quick to show displeasure when we underperform but credit where credit is due, today's performance both collectively and individually was excellent.

Muller and Osbourne where outstanding particular Muller who shows terrific composure on the ball and his forward runs today is something that we've never seen from a CB for many seasons.

Fleetwood loanee shows tremendous skill on the ball and some of his distribution to colleagues will in time provide a good return in chances made and taken.

MoM Kevin was for me overshadowed by Muller but I can't argue with his 2 goals that possibly ensured his MoM award.

The only slight problem was the way he seemed to loose our way a bit with the substitution of Osbourne for Rose.

McGirk was outstanding as well and could be one hell of a player when 100% fit.

Well done lads and a platform on which we can build.

We should make today "towel day" and every year we should take towels to the game on this date

Hang on a minute. I thought you wanted Muller to play in midfield & Osbourne further forward?

Agree about the performance. Great performances across the team. Also thought Brough showing real signs of improvement. Wildig the only negative for me. Really don't get him in the no 10 role as he rarely looked like scoring & didnt contribute much.

I did and still do.

Muller was outstanding today and for me could be just as good if not better in midfield but after his defensive work today he will no doubt retain his CB position...no problem. As for Osborne he did play a more forward role today and it was his shot on goal that resulted in Kevin opening the scoring.

Not sure when he's due back at Fleetwood but would be superb if he was here until the end of this season....at least.

Think Tommo was man of the match- got to the byline countless times and forwards should have had a couple more goals for the balls across the box. I much prefer him in this role rather than an outright centre forward. Agree with the praise for Muller who like to get forward, though defense still looking wobbly though especially playing it out our half. Agree with criticism of Wildig-does not often get stuck in and would like to see him replaced by Campbell who has a lot more to offer.

McGurk was the stand out performer for me. His touch and control was brilliant yesterday which led to numerous chances. I wish he stayed between the width of the posts rather than drifting about though. He will get 15 goals playing up top with Oliver.

Nice to see us playing four at the back but still we allow too much space to attacking full backs. Jim needs to start fining players for playing shit back passes, must have been 5 or 6 dodgy ones yesterday.

Such an encouraging game. I thought there were a few decent partnerships forming between different players. I just hope they can be picked every week so that those partnerships develop.

I enjoyed watching the CB pairing of Muller and Old. Muller's runs as said before (and fair play to Kenyon for noting and dropping in to fill) whilst Old had a proper no-nonsense game.

Muller is a CB, Kenyon is a midfielder. I'd love it to stay that way round all season!

I thought Osbourne looked promising and just needs a bit of confidence. He needs to be told he's good and then have the arrogance to play his game - he really could be a great little player.

McGurk was involved in everything. Great first touch, held the ball up well and brought others into the game. How the keeper kept that header out, I don't know, but he thoroughly deserved a goal for his performance. He looked like he was 15/20 mins short of full match fitness, but he kept on running in all fairness. He also linked up well with Thommo and Ellison, and Wildig to a certain extent.

Thommo and McGowan looked good together on the right. Mcgowan struggled a bit towards the end getting beaten and trying to lunge in early, but hopefully that can be coached. Thommo just had the LB on toast all afternoon!

All in all a thoroughly entertaining afternoon as CC positively stated (what's the world coming to? )

The way we played against Newport leaves me wondering why we arent higher up the table.
Great football and passion from the lads.
