So I was at the Club Shop buying an extra match ticket for a friend - as I drove away the wife says "pull into Jim Bentley's parking space and take a photo".

So I was just doing that and who should arrive in his car but Jimbo, with Ken as passenger.

Jim says "caught in the act" and "would I like to pick the team for tomorrow's match"!

Jim got Ken to take a photo of myself with Jim on my phone.

Great story! I think its bits and pieces like this that make our club special and give it character.

About 10 years ago I got the shock of my life when I received a Christmas card (in itself a surprise given I'm not on many peoples Christmas card list) which read:

Merry Christmas

"Get Rogan on!"

Nick Rogan

For those who don't remember, Rogan played for the club (almost exclusively as a sub) about 15 years ago (?), and when things weren't going to plan on the pitch there was always a hum around Christie for him to be given a chance. I don't know Nick, and have never spoken to him - the card was courtesy of a friend who was his room mate at University in Liverpool and found out that he once played for Morecambe. Funny that he remembered that during his time with us.
