we all know Jim had to do his business late on this summer compared to previous seasons and we've all seen the potential of the players, but after these coming games if Jim still doesn't know his best 11 and formation after October then i fear the worst.

Some people go for the doom & gloom, predicting relegation every season in the hope that one season they'll be right, then they can gloat about how clever they are. They forget that they predicted relegation last season, and the season before, and the season before, and...

Interesting one this. My thoughts on Jim as a manager have gone up and down over the years. I honestly wanted him gone about a year ago, but he showed what he was made of when the chips were down last season and we somehow managed to improve results and pull ourselves up the table.

This season he has seemed to have an increase in budget and has bought in some promising players, but so far it hasn't really jelled. I am not saying he should be relieved of his duties, but it seems odd to give out extensions when it appears we are looking at another season kicking around at the bottom quarter of the table.

Jim Is a massive Morecambe legend, one of my all time favourite players, and he's a top bloke as well, I just feel the timing of this is wrong. We have stagnated under his leadership over the past few years. There doesn't seem to be any progression in our play. As much as I hope he turns it round, I just feel going forward that this is the wrong move.

I agree.
If you look at Accrington, they have stuck with John Coleman, but the difference is they do appear to
be making progress under his leadership.
Maybe he has bigger funds to work with. I think Jim does a great job in difficult circumstances, but it's the lack of progress season after season that causes Morecambe fans to be worried.
However, we must be careful what we wish for.
I noticed that a National League North fixture today sees York City away at Leamington.
York, once a solid Football League club who I remember got as high as the Championship in their day, not even in the F.A.Cup 4th Qualifying Round today.
I remember when they had great F.A.Cup days against Arsenal and Liverpool.

A settled side where the players can remember what their tasks are and know where their partner will be, rather than all this constant chopping and changing.
I know injuries and suspensions play their part but it really is like bingo. I have counted 4 times now that our Captain has been subbed.

Really like Jim and all he’s achieved with the smallest budget in the League.

However, the chopping and changing of players is a real problem, in my view. Players need to get used to playing with each other.

The other is playing to the oppositions strengths and weaknesses rather than build a side capable of self-belief and winning on its own merits.

Maybe Jim and Ken's contracts were extended to give them a bit more security in these uncertain times. I presume if a new owner came in and wanted a new management team Jim and Ken would at least be compensated.

Why give them security when the team is in such a poor run of results,does not make sense to me
