We won't just go down this year, we will be fighting for our lives in the conference next season too. We are in free fall but awarded the man in charge another 2 years! Our only hope is that some crazy chairman comes in and offers Jim a job.

it's the damage what these results at home do to attendances what bothers me. it's been going on for 5 seasons now.

Couldn’t see any positives in tonight’s performance. Relegation form.

Worse still that’s 3 goals in last 7 home games and none in last 3. It is poor fare. There’s no marketing off the pitch to attract fans but plenty to put them off on it.

Pathetic. Jim/Ken need to do the decent thing if they really care about Morecambe and go.

Oh dear, total disaster tonight. We lose, 3 of the 4 teams below win and the other gets a point to go above us.
Best part was the minutes applause for Geoff.
Doomed on that rubbish and we can't blame bad luck, or the referee. We got away with it at Chesterfield, but not tonight, could have been 6.

Off the field , had to queue in the Hurley Flyer and drink out of plastic glasses.

No man of the match as we had no sponsors, bl@ddy great!!!
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

Attendance 1,241 so looking at the number of Port Vale fans that would suggest under 1,000 home fans.

Can anyone explain the point of Subbing on Osborne in the 84th minute? Far too late to have any real effect and just messes up the cohesion of a team that already looks as if they've never played together before. As for constantly bringing on Rose half way through, words fail me. Tonight was probably my lowest point as a Morecambe fan.

Morecambe Jack

the PA announced something about moniters a few homes games ago at H/T, asking a question, not making a statement .

In all seriousness, the latest newsletter for the Trust does give information on the GPS monitors.

See: http://shrimpstrust.co.uk/news/newsletters

I understand we were the only football league club without these before the Trust donated the money for them.

Bentley is doing a great job, shakes hands buys drinks, loves MFC to bits! Well worth a contract extension he's going to be taking us to places we've never been,,,,Bromley, Boreham wood. Looking forward to the boxing day clash with AFC Fylde. He will go down in history as the first ever Morecambe manager to relegate the side! Clueless tactics, wheres plan B? come to think of it where's plan A?? 800 home fans tonight? Dull football played in a totally negative way. Vale pressed and went forward at every opportunity, we stand look. pass it back to Baz to hoof upfield only for their centre halves to head it back towards our goal. Woeful throughout the side, total lack of any ideas. It just seemingly gets worse. Ah well two more years....

Very similar to so many games that we have endured in recent seasons, we get off to a half decent start then concede and proceed to fall apart. After they scored we were second best in every department you could see the confidence and performance draining away, they showed more desire and determination and won the physical battle which was highlighted by the pathetic second goal.

As per usual when the game is lost we start launching long balls over the top with players charging forward like some kind of re-enactment of the charge of the light brigade yes it creates a bit of excitement but it results in the same disastrous way.

It's all been said for me.....out and out crap of the highest order.

Only our new lad showed any passion in every position other than defender or goalkeeper. He's an out and out striker but was having to play both as a striker and as a midfielder because that was the only way he was going to get any decent possession.

Once again our only tactic was the hoof ball and our single corner routine shows a complete lack of imagination.

Even I'm beginning to loose faith..... :( :( :(

Woke up this morning and checked my phone to see 0-3. My first thought was we are dying slowly as a club...

Its not just this result, but I reckon there isn't a club in the 92 who have consistently under performed at home for so long whilst staying in the same division.

Might still stay up this season, but crowds are getting worse season-on-season and the rot needs to be stopped.

Port vale appoint a new boss with new tactics, and a clean slate everybody has to fight and earn the right to wear the shirt, and the out played us
Kenyon woefully but stayed on
attacking midfielder needed, bring on Osborne with 5 mins to go
We win a free kick last minute of first half and we pass along the back line and back again then hoof it to their keeper,
Time to say goodbye Jim & ken and resign

Bad performance. Really bad.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that we didn't try, but the team lacked guts last night.

We seemed to have nothing to offer going forward other than managing to pass our way to the half way line and then chip/hoof it forward for our forwards to not win it.

At a goal down against a terrible team at home, we should have been pinning them back in their own half, piling on the pressure. But we couldn't even get into their half. We could have played all week and not scored.

The worst part is that they were a poor team there for the taking, at home, and we couldn't compete with them and couldn't even trouble their defence. How are we going to get any points from anywhere else based on that showing?

My man of the match was McGurk but there were no positives really. A game to forget as soon as possible and I can only hope Saturdays performance is better or we're in trouble.

A poor game without doubt. Is everything off the field ok with the team? Is there something else going on?

Seems that the entire club has switched off now they know we're financially secure for a couple of years due to Abdul bankrolling it. The hospitality has been virtually empty every game this season - why is no-one getting bums on seats in there - it's supposed to be the only profitable bit of the club (if you ever believed that)! Jim and Ken have ridiculously been rewarded (for no obvious reason) with a 2 year contract extension. Sorry to say, but the club was far better last February when the wages weren't being paid and we were is clear trouble and everyone, players, staff, board etc were working towards something. It seems everyone has switched off and are just coasting now we're "safe" - all waiting for some sugar daddy to come in and pay a few million to buy it (meanwhile for those who don't live in cloud cuckoo land, we're staring relegation and bankruptcy in the face as the sugar daddy won't be coming when crowds are under 1,000!). Time for the board/management to wake up and start pushing things again.
