IFOLLOw thread v the Mariners live

Thought Vadine put a real shift in today. Could it be that for once he was playing alongside Adam.

1000% better than Tuesday but we need to start taking our chances and
gambling a bit when in a shooting position.

We need to sharpen up on our corner routine and be a wee bit more creative.

Yes. Commentary team/muppets are above the tunnel & to the right as you look at the main stand.

I thought we played well and should have won but no-one able to shoot at the moment.

Two interesting corners.

First one in the first couple of minutes... WTF??? If it was an opposition 'routine' I'd have been singing;
'did you practice, did you practice, did you practice THAT ALL WEEK'
But it was our routine, so I settled for a silent WTF to myself.

The second crap corner, mid way through the second half, when it got kicked straight out for a goal kick... the wind blew the ball just before it was kicked. Therefore, surely it should have been re-taken as it was a 'moving ball'? Crap decision.

But that last comment leads me, Radio Two link style... thought the ref had a good game. Couple of decisions I disagreed with, but that will always be the case, but generally, he had a good game. Another one to add to the 'good refs' database?
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Scoring goals is about getting into the right position and then having confidence. That's why Kev gets as many as he does. He believes he will score.

A workmanlike performance yesterday where to be honest it looked like two teams who were just happy not to lose.

I don't usually like the 3-5-2 formation, particularly at home, but it more or less worked yesterday. Good defending, we just seem to lack a cutting edge. A point at home to Grimsby is acceptable but we need someone in the team to find their scoring boots so we can pull away from the 22nd place that we worryingly occupy. Dare I say it... we miss Kev?

At least he will be rested!
