(The Magical) FA Cup Hartlepool predictions

Postby George Dawes » Sun Oct 29, 2017 7:38 am

could be a nice distraction from L2

I fancy us for this one, think Jim will make one or two changes, we need leaders out there, some of the old gaurd! hope Thompson starts if fit, and maybe give Lang a crack, their scouts won't know nothing about him, only Jim in training.

2-0 win.

then into the next round, rather than just big pay day in mind i'd like to get an easier draw, see how far we can get.

Banker away win unfortunately. They are on the up, unbeaten for quite a while now and we appear to be in terminal decline with no glimmer of hope of a reversal in fortunes. They'll be well up for this with a big following behind them and as for us????? Same old, same old, probably. Shrimps 0 Poolies 1 and yet more misery! Hate being so negative because I love the FA cup but it's a long time since we had that buzz of a good cup run and currently very hard to see that changing. Come on Jim for f****s sake prove me wrong.

We'll probably win this and then lose the next league game.

Any sort of win for us would do (for once sod my constant theme of entertainment)...but I fear that it could be another early exit from a lucrative £18K

Message for Jim was well as a prediction.

I've no doubt that things that are said on here get back to you Jim in one form or another and I suspect that you largely dismiss them but even your die hard supporters are fed up with our style of play week after week. a) Pick a team to attack from the off.b) Don't drop off the other side's players till they have free shots at goal....get stuck in and hassle them c) get the first goal and keep trying to get more d) pay less attention as to how Hartlepool are going to play it and more as to how we can beat them e) tell the lads that Hartlepool are a Conference side and we can and will beat them (and tell them with conviction).

The fans will get behind you if you play this way. You can do it.

I hope Jim gives some different players a chance. I will go with 1-1 at the Globe and then we win a televised replay!

1-2 loss. I'm not bothered about the FA Cup now. Try something new Jim, treat it as a friendly and use it as preparation for the Wycombe game.

Surely the £££££ prize money must come into it for obvious reasons?

Don't treat it as a friendly.

Go out and win the bloody thing.

No , this is an important match , £18,000 for a win and £27,000 for a win in the 2nd round.

I hope we treat the Leicester game as a preparation for Wycombe , experiment with systems and players and give some of the squad a chance.

0 - 4. Don't know where the next goal is coming from and they will be up for it. They must feel confident of a result :(

Staying in the football league would surely be more lucrative? I'm as desperate as anyone for a cup run but the league has to take priority in my opinion.
