Table as it stands:

1. Fleetwood GP: 2 PTS: 6 GD: 4
2. Carlise UTD GP: 2 PTS: 3 GD: 1
3. Leicester u12s GP: 3 PTS: 3 GD: -2
4. Morecambe GP: 3 PTS: 2 GD: -3

So if we’d have won that game, we’d be on 3 points and above Leicester on goal difference (-2 as opposed to their -3). If Carlisle had then lost to Fleetwood by 3 goals (without Carlisle scoring 2 goals), we would have bizarely gone through! What a weird thing this is/was!

Good performance and felt that Oliver put a real shift in especially for his determination to retrieve the ball from the a couple of opponents to lay the ball on for Thommo to score an easy opening goal.

Just hope that Vadine gets a goal sooner rather than later because to date he's had a lot of bad luck. if he could get his goal scoring mojo working with that of his skill then we'd have one hell of a player.

Personally I think he's trying too hard to score rather than just relaxing in front of goal.

As fellow SVers will gather Vadine is one of my more favoured lads in red and needs all the encouragement that fellow fans give him.

:) :) :)

Ooooops....

Special word for young Sam Lavelle who for me was outstanding and deserved the MoM award.

I'd have no problem seeing Sam in the first team on a regular basis...certainly far superior that Winnard.

£20k for competing and an extra £5 for a draw I understand. Not sure if it's an extra £10K for winning the penalty shoot out. :?: :?: :?:

I thought flemmo had a great game, he’s been brilliant this season, Oliver won nearly everything and took a lot of knocks..... I’m not sure about Campbell yet, but I’m sure he will come good

Wigan put out their under 18 side against Accy last night with not one player having started a first team game, ok they will probably be fined but it makes a mockery of the competition personally I think its time to scrap it and change the league cup to a group format in the first stage with leagues one and two involved with a north south split groups of six with the top two going through, that would give every team at least five games so that should make up for loss of the EFL Trophy.

Have the first couple of game before the start of the league season and do away with some poorly attended friendlies.

I think the same, though I would remove Premier League sides from the league cup as all they do is moan about it, might help the FA Cup get some magic back also. EFL Trophy needs to go though either way. Also stop all the stupid rules around how many 1st teamers etc, if clubs want to blood their youth they should just be able to crack on with it without stupid fines

Exactly , a nice bit of furniture in the right place , just looks a bit out of place there . Besides which I don't think the FA CUp will fit in it 8-)
