Could it be that our FA Cup 1st round win proves to be the turning point of our season. Wins build confidence (obviously) and it seems that we are actually looking to score, not just keep a clean sheet. Great win guys. Who do we all fancy in the 3rd round of the cup? ;) ;) :D :D

well done boys

It is an excellent result and it was a great first half performance. We had good chances in the second with two free kicks and Wildig and Oliver through on goal. Our problem was sitting deep second half when I really think we could have added to the score line.

Balance of the side looked a lot better today. Aaron Wildig had a great game and was always running; Aaron McGowan played well at both ends of the pitch; but others contributed with good movement across the pitch after some pretty static performances.

Wycombe were a really good footballing side and a pleasure to watch but the difference was that we out fought them for most of the game and outplayed them at key points.

2Saturday nights when u can enjoy having a few drinks. Excellent performance. Sat next to Max Muller and his lady. Had a good natter with him. Sprang to his feet when we scored our first.. Says a lot of his enjoyment playing for us. Liked the way that Thommo applauded the away fans and got a big hug from the 'beaat' both before and after the game

Agree posh from as soon as the second half kicked off we seemed to look a bit negative, we're they told to sit back and defend for the full second half. Would have really liked to have seen us try to push on instead of hanging on for dear life.

nice home win.

thanks to the FA Cup it's now creating competition for starting places, for example Muller will now have to fight for his place back with Lavelle stepping in today.

this result moves us up a few places and teams above us getting beat, happy days :D

Sounds like things are looking up. Well done lads. Another 4-6 points this month and we will be in a much better position going into December. Performing at home will slowly start to get the fans back too.

Great performance all round. Baz deserved his MoM but AJ could have had it - great performance from him.

Having seen some highlights, I do think we should have had a penalty for a trip on Wildig as he ran through and was about to pull the trigger.

2 Morecambe players in The Football League paper today. Old and AJ. I thought Baz should also have been in it but 3 Morecambe players in their team would be unheard of.

Everyone was good yesterday. McGurk and Wildig made some sublime passes and moves and when Oliver came on he bullied their centre backs.

If we can even approach yesterday's standard of play in future games we should move up the table. In a week we have beaten Hartlepool and Wycombe , neither of which we had beaten at home before.

What a Saturday. Mrs A & I were treated to 90 minutes of non-stop entertainment, with a little drama thrown in. Then the result! Almost made me wish we hadn't played truant to go see Alice Cooper in Leeds! Hopefully another home win will see the lads start to build in confidence; if they go out there believing they can win, I'm sure they will much more frequently. Bring on the next victims.

Our climb back up the league started last week. And what a week it was. Every single player should be proud of themselves. And yes, it's all about confidence, so they can come out next time, heads held high, and go for it again. The other really pleasing thing on Saturday was that the lads weren't bickering at each other, a sight all too common in recent games - they need to concentrate their efforts on the opposition, not sniping at each other.

I agree Ken H.
The age old principles always apply in the end.
Only together with everyone battling for the same cause can any form of success be achieved in a team situation.
Simple really, but not always easy to achieve. It is crucial that there are no massive egos who think they are Billy Big Bollocks otherwise we will not keep improving, and this I think is the strength of Jim as a manager, getting the players to play for the shirt with commitment and passion.
I may be way off the mark, just my thoughts.
