Please support a great local Morecambe project - based in the West End, which has been launched by "The Exchange Creative Community".

"The Steeple for the People" project aims to establish a community run creative arts and enterprise hub based in the West End, based in the disused Trinity Methodist Church building on the promenade. The aim is to raise £200,000 to buy the church and convert it into a community not-for-profit facility. This will be a facility for ordinary local people (not high-end art snobs) to have a go at doing creative things and attending workshops/classes etc.

See;

You can vote for the project on the national Aviva-sponsored Community Fund web-page to enable the Project to have a chance at winning major funding towards purchase of the church building.

Please cast your vote here:

Thanks very much guys and gals!

I believe voting for the Aviva funding has now closed - many thanks to everyone who voted.

Please continue to support the Steeple for the People Appeal and the work of the Exchange Creative Community on West Street - and generally spread the word!

Thanks everyone :D :D :D
