That's a shocking attendance, if indeed the BBC has it right.

Seats were empty. Dont think we have ever had a league game under 1k!

So long attacking football, welcome back shit hoofball. Woeful. Ok, Kev pinged the woodwork twice but that is it. Ok, it was a bit windy but when is it not? Outplayed in the 2nd half by a team full of kids with the odd ageing pro who have lost 8 away games on the spin. Lets hear it for Jim and Kenny was the shout after the Wycombe game, not a whimper tonight.

Shameful and clueless. Only Brough can hold his head hig tonight.

From one of the few that was actually there, wasn't a bad game at all! Could of gone either way, they won it with a great solo goal. Hats of to our supporters who kept a bit of noise going.

From one of the few who was actually there, the first half seemed long, but what was said at half time? I have to ask if, playing at home against a side with their record, were they told to play for a clean sheet, cause pretty much Fleming aside, there was virtually no fire. If that was what Jim did (and note I do say 'if'), then someone needs to tell Jim his tactics are literally killing the club. Tonight was not acceptable from my point of view, or that of many others around us.

Gutless, tactically inept and divorced of any method or togetherness. Just when one thinks that we may have turned the corner we put in a display that sees us revert to type. Bentley and Co have to take full responsibility for the persistence use of the hoof ball so often seen under his stewardship.

It appears thar when we play Vadine in the team the only thing we do is play long balls up to him with no outlet as and when he wins the ball.

We've hade too many seasons of the same old crap that no other club would tolerate.

Woeful and divorced of any thought in how to play seems to be a common theme for far too long.

And yet we still perform the same old same with little sign of a change.

Totally well and tuely hacked off after tonight's apology of a performance.

To be honest, Crewe were awful and for 80 minutes played crap football, we didn't have no urgency at times and played OK football at times but again can't score. Then they score in last 10 minutes to kick us between the legs and we have only ourselves to blame.
Why is it that it's windy and we persist on playing long high balls which don't reach their target (Oliver)
Shocked at low attendance which is poor but games like this witnessed tonight don't encourage those of us to leave the house in the winter weather.
Only themselves to blame and can't understand why there's no boos at full time as that was poor.

Should Jim have changed the formation when we were on a good run of results? Probably not but we were playing a woeful team who had lost their last eight away matches, so I was pleased to see Jim had made a positive change. Ultimately it didn't work which reflects badly on the management team who are under ever increasing pressure. However the players must take responsibility for tonight's defeat as the majority of them underperformed. We had a few moments of brilliance but our overall play was very poor. We misplaced a ridiculous amount of passes. I'd imagine Wildig will be brought back in on Saturday at the expense of Oliver. Crewe and Crawley have both been woeful yet still beaten us without conceding.

A couple of points to follow up on my post last night, having slept on it.

Firstly, it wasn't a 'great solo goal'; the player was unmarked and unchallenged and our defenders were pretty woeful. He shouldn't have got anywhere near the box.

Secondly, the hoofball. I know I've said this before, but last night more than ever it looked like panic, not tactics. What we lacked last night was not only the passion and determination to get at Crewe and win the game, but we also lacked any composure needed to control the game, particularly in the middle of the park, and instead the players were simply booting the ball forward in hope, not even at a particular target half the time.

When someone near us said just after half time 'what did he say to them at half time?' I said, hoping it wasn't true, 'play for a clean sheet and we'll try to nick one on the break'. I still hope I'm wrong, but what other conclusion is there?

why did he change the Wycombe line up that worked so well ?

he drops Wildig for Oliver so we have a weak midfield, hence the hoofball up to him.

he then brings Wildig on but takes off McGirk so Oliver is then isolated.

JB is solely responsible for driving away half our support, but what does he get ?

yes, a 2 year extension
