Rod has been holding the whole thing together while the struggle for ownership saga goes on.
In my opinion he or other minor shareholders, have no control over who and when buys the Club from the 82% shareholder. The 'Chairman' should be the person announcing any statements, unfortunately I don't think we really have one at the moment.
If there is something on the table then you wouldn't expect an announcement before it is all signed, delivered and PAID for!
We have already been there and done that and been made to look %%&$$@@!

I think it's worse than that. At the moment the club is dying a slow death and there doesn't seem to be a cure.

Was going to title it Dying but I thought it was a bit harsh but maybe not . I think everyone is just fed up with the constant upheaval and uncertainty .

Totally agree Marky. Business negotiations are being, and will continue to be, conducted in private, and we as fans can expect no information until they are pretty much concluded, unless the buyer chooses to share, but that might indicate a Cala type self-publicist, which is the last thing we want. Do you really want statements from Rod Taylor when all he can say is 'negotiations are ongoing but I can't at this stage release any details'? The only issues we can talk about are those on the field, which are surely topic enough for the time being.
Ntini wrote:Why does it have to be Rod. Indeed, why is it always Rod?
We have a full board of directors, a chairman, an owner/agent and his son who are now directors.
For all we know (and all we're told) the only person who seems to give a damn about this club is Rod. I feel for him, I really do. He's clearly put his heart and soul into doing his very best by our club whilst everyone else hides away in the shadows.
It would be nice to see some of the others have the balls to stick their heads above the parapet like Rod has done, engage with fans and listen to the frustrations and criticism (that is aimed at the club as a whole, rather than the person willing to actually speak to supporters!)

Running the company (club) is exactly the job of the Board of Directors. Owners "own" it and appoint "directors" to run it on their behalf.
