Well, no commentary now.

So you can either listen to Freez & co OR watch. But you can't watch in one window while listening through another.

Well done iFollow, how to make your product less useful.

I used to listen regularly to "Player", but there are so many problems with i-follow that I have totally given up on that. I keep an eye on Shrimps Voices and on the BBC website, but i-follow has been a HUGE backwards step in my opinion.

Apart from a couple of occasions, I'd found it to be pretty good. The video quality has been generally excellent, although a couple of 'hangs' each game. The audio was more reliable than iPlayer most of the time. The only real issue has been with them not switching the feed back on until a minute or two after the second half starts. I did email to complain about this but didn't receive a response.

But this latest move is is a total cluster-fuck of a move.   I'll probably watch games this season then not bother renewing.

When I had this issue the other week, iFollow said it was actually the club that made that decision. If you press the settings button on the video, there's an "audio" option, which should allow you to listen to commentary, but apparently Morecambe have disabled that option.

I don't know if it works for other teams though, I've only ever used our iFollow obviously.

As you are getting your info through here...

We're playing really well and have had four excellent chances. Oliver has just missed a 1:1 (keeper saved for a corner) and Thommo put a free header straight at the keeper when he looked certain to score, being the best of the two. Also had a shot cleared off the line. They've had two reasonable chances, but the majority of the game has been us. Just wish we could score.

If Freez reads this, did you guys think it was a penalty for the late challenge on Oliver? I thought the ball had gone but it was possibly still a foul... although it would have been soft perhaps.

Thanks Tim, I'll try logging on to Coventry's commentary for the second half and see if I can get theirs?

Coventry commentary team still chatting away through half time... why can't we instead of the twinky-twonky music?

Thanks for your update Keith. The stats appear to suggest a good first half but that old chestnut re strikers not being good enough still sounds to ring true.

Keep pressing though in the second half, and let's hope!!!!!!!!!!!

Now watching Coventry's feed. Exactly the same, no commentary there either.
Their commentary team at half time were very complimentary about us. They said that "individually we [Coventry] are better players than Morecambe but too many aren't wanting it and Morecambe are playing like a team" Hopefully they'll be saying the same at full time too! :D

Should have had a third! :D We're playing really well! I thought Lang had messed it up with his first touch but he finished superbly.

Dreadful decision from the linesman & ref to let a foul go unpunished but Fleming very lucky not to get a straight red a few seconds later.

It's a real shame that the commentary isn't working, because contrary to MarkS's view, I much prefer quoting the commentary team when it is positive, rather than the negative. And today, it must be almost entirely positive! I wish I could hear it!

Five minutes added on. Not as many from Coventry as I expected, but that may be the weather?

We just missed another good chance! We could easily have won by five today.

Gone to commentary for the last few minutes.

Freez: "We've looked good from the third or fourth minute when I turned up"...

BBC are saying a gate of 1,700. How many of those were from Coventry?

From the Morecambe iFollow team:

"Great win"
"Great performances all over the park"
"If that doesn't give you confidence, nothing will"
"Oliver's best performance in a Morecambe shirt"

:D :D :D

From the Coventry iFollow team (whose commentary stayed on longer than ours before the twinky-twonky music)

"They may be near the bottom, but they [Morecambe] don't look anything like a poor side."
"Absolutely, they are far from being the worst team Coventry have played this season"
"Morecambe won this easily"
"Who's your Man of the Match? And you can't have a Morecambe player
"

:D :D :D

Excellent performance all round. If we play like that every week, we will be looking up not down. Only bad bit was the challenge on Lang.... disgusting and the linesman who Was next to it didn’t even give it
