Magnificent performance. We're thinking of going cruising on the Douro this spring. Believe it's quite good with lots of vineyards to visit

It was incredible! How on earth the linesman didn't give it??? There was actually two offences, the foul itself, but then their player grabbed the ball between his ankles and lifted it over the flattened Lang, which is surely illegal?

Mind you, Fleming could have gone a few moments later when he lunged in on their player. I think the ref probably knew he'd got the first offence wrong and decided to be lenient. I think Lang was still laying on the deck at the time.

Because there was no commentary, there was a mic next to the camera. The fans below the gantry were giving the linesman some grief after that!

Great performance today from the whole team, but particularly Vadaine who gave their defenders a torrid afternoon. Exemplified the spirit in the team when he sprinted about 40 metres in added time at the end to block a clearance from their right back down in the corner. Very entertaining football from start to finish!

That is how a team should play at home. Oliver looked a different player with Rose and Osbourne in the middle. Rose was picking him out with some accurate passing and Osbourne was making some great runs. Thommo was even bursting past Oliver and giving their defenders a nightmare. Brough and AJ were supplying some great width at times. Cov could not handle the attacking movement and we look so much better playing like that.

I said it last week, we have the players but we have been playing the wrong way.

Thought it was great performance from the team today, thought ref made quite a few poor decisions today.
McGowan was excellent today and must have been just behind Oliver for man of match.
If we had shooting boots on it could have been lots more
Had a few performances at home that we should have got points from glad to see we got what we deserved today, great attacking football at times

So round about 1,100 Shrimps fans who saw a great game from the sounds of it with a great result :D
I'm afraid it will take quite a few more of those before the missing hundreds return though. :(

What an improved performance against the team with the best defensive record in the Football League! Vadaine Oliver caused them immense problems, easily his best game for the Shrimps. Lang took his goal superbly- lets hope his injury is not serious. We didn't look a relegation team today.

Great performance, well done to the whole team.

Vadaine played like a man possessed, great all action performance. He perhaps should have scored more but you couldn't fault his work rate and that goal will give him confidence.

AJ a close second for MotM. Great running down the flank and didn't put a foot wrong in defence, he's really come on as a player for us.

Coventrys MotM was the ref. Otherwise I was surprised by how poor they were.

Bravo.

Jim, please, please, please can we set up like that every game. That's the way to win games and win fans. BTW did anyone else see the ref mouthing/signing at what appeared to me to be the Coventry manager after our first goal? Thought he might be apologising 'cause he couldn't do anything to disallow it.

Great performance well done to everyone, great to have smiling faces around the place and a good vibe later on. Another big game coming up at Barnet who now prop us all up

They're all big games now! Be great if we could get a winning run going for Christmas. It would be a brilliant present for all of us and could pull in a good crowd for Boxing Day.

The club should try to do a reduced price for boxing day and try to get as many down as possible to support the team
Maybe do a family ticket and do something to make it a family day
A game like yesterday might tempt people to come down each week and more if the kids enjoy it, their the future of the club

Probably our best showing of the season so far. Despite the ref and blind linesman (on the berlin wall side) trying to help Coventry out! I thought we were unlucky not to win by a greater margin, considering they had the best defence in League two we ripped it to shreds! :D More of the same would be most welcome. Only problems yesterday were off-field i.e. lack of programmes and scoreboard not working again.
Don't worry be happy!

I understand that the contractor who installed the new scoreboard ordered by mistake the incorrect version for outdoor use and that new panels are now on order, but come from overseas hence the reason why the scoreboard is not fully operational.

When it is, it's a vast improvement on the original and a special word of thanks to Brian C for his programming.

Great result yesterday! I'm looking forward to finally watching a match again next Saturday. Shrimps 2-0, Toronto 2-0; it was a very, very good day!

(And the Cup hangover has finally passed.)

Just had a (delightful!) watch of the highlights, really impressed by the stuff we played especially in the first half. Having Rose in the middle with his greater ability to ping accurate passes really compliments Oliver incredibly well. Thought Osbourne looked lively and creative which was good to see as well. Really liking the front two of Oliver and McGurk, I think they're a really quality pairing. Oliver is obviously a massive physical/aerial presence and was brilliant but I'm also impressed with McGurk's strength/aerial ability, for a smaller guy he really holds his own pretty damn well. Hopefully we can get them working together more and more over the season as I think they're a really quality couple of players.

Excellent highlights. I didn't like the way that Callum held his ankle after he was fouled. Hope it's not any ligament trouble. Lot of comments about the quality of the ref on Saturday. I wouldn't complain too much as Flemo's challenge looked like a straight red card!
