Bees 2 Shrimps 1 (Campbell) ifollow Thread

Why can we never perform well against sides lower in the league? It happens over and over again. Beat a side 6th in the league on the day, and now crumbling against the bottom side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just as John Akindi is back they start playing well.

However, why we go from playing decent football one match and then like Nag’s Head for next couple of games is still baffling. Oliver works hard but is not a target man. He is better playing off one.

Should have been three...

Don’t respect them, play better than them, work harder than them and let them respect us.

I don't think the tactics are dis-similar to last week, the problem is we didn't score first! Sounds like a great goal from over 25 yards out, curling into the top corner. And Akinde, who has been out most of the season, is tearing us a new arse!!

It was a cracking goal, but we're definitely a lot more hit & hope than last week. The wing-backs aren't getting forward as much and Oliver is far too isolated, so even if he wins the hoofed pass, there is no Morecambe player anywhere near him to pick up the second ball. The more we gave them possession, the more they grew in confidence. Akinde had already had one long distance strike well saved by Baz, from almost the same place as he scored from. The writing was clearly on the wall before they scored. We then continued with more of the same until they got a second. On the rare occasions when we try to pass to players and run with the ball, we look like going past them, but for most of the half we didn't do that.

If we continue like this for the second half, there is no way back. Definitely need to change things.

I'm wishing I'd gone Christmas shopping with Freez.

Only two points off as low as League Two can get

Definite 'six pointer' today. Win it and we'd be eight points off bottom and starting to feel confident of pulling away. Two points of bottom place and it's doom & gloom again. Play like last week and we'd be thunking of a push for a play off place. Playing like this first half though...

COME ON MORECAMBE! 45 minutes to turn this around.

Your missing my point, we didn't start off any different to last week, but we didn't score the first goal!! Then we go hoofball.

No, I got your point. I just think we started with hoof ball right from the off, rather than resorting to it after not scoring first. I didn't think we started that way last week.

Kev & Lang on is positive and we've hit the bar already, so hopefully a better 45 minutes.

Managed to lock myself out of S.V. this morning, and needed Keith's help to get back in. Beginning to wonder if I should have bothered!!! After last week, I really fancied us for a good win today. Not looking much like it at the moment!!

Oh dear  Dreadful back pass put Baz in trouble. Thought he might have got a yellow card for the foul. Fortunately a crap penalty way over the top. Can we take advantage of a stroke of luck?

Ugh. Sounds like more fight there at the end, but just not enough and a little too late.

Alright. Off to brave the shops. Cheers, folks!

As someone posted above too little too late

There is something definitely wrong with our away tactics this season possibly too cautious and defensive minded
