Dissapointed we went there worrying about them, knowing all about Akinde we still let him give us the rubaround. After last week i saw a chink of light, but it was soon distinguished. Oh well back to the struggle. I hope they can find somewhere to train in this cold wet climate we have. This seems to be the latest excuse always getting a mention

Respect for your opponents???? Boll**ks Jim. Respect for individuals as people - absolutely. But in competitive situations (sport or business), you convince your "team" they are better than the others. My experience is in the business world as opposed to sport, and I had over 2000 people in my team. We all respected each other and any individuals from other "regions", but as a"team" WE KNEW WE WERE THE BEST!!!! Result .................. we were the bloody best!!!

So come on Jim change your approach - great guy that I believe you to be, but get some oomph into the guys PLEASE!!!!!

Actually B.M. I think you are correct. Which is a huge shame because I do believe that he really does love MFC. But, for the good of MFC I am coming to the conclusion that we need a much more upbeat, confident, chest-banging (I am the best, you as my team are the best) - type of manager. But to be fair to Jim, with all the problems at board level and club ownership, it must be difficult for him.
Strangely enough I actually thought that he would be that type of manager when he arranged (several seasons ago) to go paddling at Arnside to catch flat-fish. That is the type of bonding/fun activity which can bring everyone together but it must be within the context of developing the belief that WE ARE THE BEST. Not happened has it?

It was crap, no sugar coating it. I had a message to say that we'd been camped in the Barnet half "for six or seven minutes before they scored". Being a sad, masochistic pedant, at the end of the match, I re-watched the seven minutes leading up to their first goal. They had two corners and three shots in that time, we had no corners and no shots. We were in their half for 2 minutes & 10 seconds, including about 20 seconds when their lad had hold of the ball for a throw-in! So if that was the best we could offer, it was dire.

The difference, (and my point) is that I posted positively last week, when we'd played superbly against a top side. We could have won 5-0 and Coventry wouldn't have complained. But I didn't see a post from you last week?
