O/T Homeless charity?

O/T Homeless charity?

Postby Christies Child » Wed Dec 27, 2017 3:39 pm

No doubt quite a lot of folk have, like myself, been sorting through their clothes to see what they no longer need to make way for that Christmas sweater or jacket given to them by some well meaning family member.

I've gone through my stuff and find to my surprise the number of fleece and winter jackets that I no longer have a need of.

We normally give our unwanted clothes to Oxfam but this year I want to give to a charity who will give the jackets etc to some homeless folk free of charge.

Anybody know where I can donate the jackets etc knowing that they will go FOC to the homeless in need of some warm clothing as they attempt to survive another cold winter on the streets.

:?: :?: :?:

Why is it when the team are as dysfunctional on the pitch that the forum goes the same way :( Might be time to vote in some non-Labour admins

For goodness sake, if I was your mam I'd send some of you lot to the naughty step.
You stay there a minute for each year of your age.. :D

So back to the topic, LDHAS (Lancaster district homeless action service) had an appeal for clothes on their noticeboard last time I passed, but it did say contact them first as they are short on storage space

I attend as many shrimps games as I attend Burnley games , at my own expense , apart from that I am guilty as charged of all other accusations

Cheers for that info. Organisations like Shelter only appear to want financial donations.

Good on you Neil, you're a true gent!
I'll be doing the same myself with the addition of my fathers wardrobe that he will no longer be needing as he passed away on the morning of the 26th.

We've had a shit Christmas but atleast those who find themselves in a less fortunate position will benefit,
Hopefully see you at the Church today for Steve Mashiter's Funeral
